Immortals announced its 2021 LCS Academy roster on Tuesday, which will see the team compete at the Spring Split. Featuring a host of young talents, as well as some with experience in professional League of Legends, the team will be led by Goh “Jensen” Qian Sheng, while Tomas “Nightshare” Knezinek will act as assistant coach.

Who Makes Up the Immortals Academy Lineup?

The Immortals Academy roster is made up by top laner Kim “Topoon” Ji-hoon, jungler Nicholas James Joseph “Potluck” Pollock, mid laner Prodromos “Pretty” Kevezitidis, AD Carry Yuri “Keith” Jew and support Joseph “Joey” Haslemann. Topoon has been involved in professional League of Legends since 2018, having formally represented Legacy Esports and MAMMOTH in the OPL. It was with Legacy Esports where the Korean won both splits and playoffs in the region, rounding things off with a win in the Legacy vs OPL All-Star match back in May.

Elsewhere, Canadian Potluck has been part of the Immortals Academy setup since March, having previously played for the Golden Guardians Academy in both 2018 and 2019. Greek mid laner Pretty is a veteran of the League of Legends scene, having been competing professionally since 2015. The ex-Vodafone Giants Spain and Mad Lions player recently helped the former win the Iberian Cup 2020, where they defeated the G2 Artic team last month.

Will the Immortals Academy Be a Force in the NA Spring Split?

Keith is one of two American’s on the team, with the 23-year-old having experience of playing for major organizations including Cloud9, TSM and Team Liquid. He played for the GG Academy earlier this year, who finished fourth in the NA Academy Summer Split, before eventually being knocked out at the quarter final stage of the playoffs.
Joey is the second American on the team, with the 22-year-old having been part of the LoL scene since 2016. Representing the academy teams of both Dignitas and Team Liquid, as well as CLG, Joey most recently competed for Wildcard Gaming, an amateur team in North America.

Immortals Academy will be one of 10 teams competing in the North American Academy Spring Split in 2021, with their mix of youth and experience set to give them a good chance of progressing to the latter stages.
