How to win with Gyrocopter in Dota 2 patch 7.34b

Gyrocopter is one of the heroes that have made a comeback in Dota 2 patch 7.34. The buffs he received, combined with the nerfs that other important heroes got in 7.34b, have made him a powerful choice for the safe lane.

Gyrocopter used to be extremely popular and many editions of The International have seen him picked extensively. The same thing is about to happen in 2023.

At the community level, Gyro is sitting right next to Phantom Lancer, Troll Warlord, and Phantom Assassin. All of these heroes have a win rate of around 52%. But some are more picked than others. Gyro’s pick rate is nearly 12% at the moment. People are starting to realize that his toolkit is perfect for the current meta.

Why Gyrocopter is powerful in this patch

Gyrocopter received a few important buffs in Dota 2 patch 7.34. The first makes him highly resistant to slows during Rocket Barrage. The resistance he gets is 20-50%. If you have any additional items that give you slow resistance, you’re almost immune to it.

The second buff has to do with Flack Cannon’s radius, which is now 1250 instead of 1000. That’s absolutely incredible because it turns the hero into a combination of Sniper and Medusa while using the ability.
