How to best utilize Double XP in Modern Warfare 2

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, double XP can be very useful. Unlocking attachments for your weapons and many other things go much faster when a double amount of XP or experience is activated. 

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been released recently, while the new battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will follow soon. Both games are fully integrated with each other, which means you can share progress between them. This opens up completely new possibilities for us, especially during a Double XP weekend or when you have Double XP Tokens activated.

It is currently unclear when the next Double XP Weekend in Modern Warfare 2 and  Warzone 2 will be active. Presumably, Activision will choose to host such a weekend during Season 1.

What is double XP in Call of Duty?

Just like in the majority of games, in Call of Duty, you gain experience points (XP) in order to rank up, unlock attachments for your weapons, and advance in the Battle Pass. The latter is a season pass that you can use to purchase new (cosmetic) content every season.

To make things easier for players, developers occasionally introduce a Double XP weekend when players get twice as much XP as usual. In some cases, players can also get double XP tokens that can be activated to collect twice as much XP for an hour. There are currently three types of Double XP:

• Double XP
• Double Battle Pass XP
• Double Weapon EXP

How to use double XP in Warzone 2?

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is going to be packed with new weapons from multiplayer and the meta is constantly changing. This means that it is advisable for players to level up a large number of weapons to expand their arsenal. But how to do this as quickly as possible?

To be honest, the battle royale isn’t the place for it. However, if you don’t want to spend any money on Modern Warfare 2, there are still a few options. If you want to collect as much regular XP as possible, you will need to get going. Killing enemies, collecting loot, and completing quests are great examples of this. If you manage to be the last one alive, you get a bonus.

If you want to level up a specific weapon, you must use it first. Completing a quest or performing other actions that earn you XP will also affect your weapon.

Tricks on how to best utilize Double XP in Modern Warfare 2

Modern Warfare 2 is the place to take advantage of double XP. Whether you play mainly multiplayer, battle royale, or special ops, this is the best place to start. When the double XP is active, you play on a small map. After all, this is where you come into contact with opponents faster, giving you more opportunities to increase your score. In addition, you play one of the game modes Hardpoint or Kill Confirmed.

But there are more tricks to increase the amount of XP. First, play with scorestreaks instead of killstreaks, because they are easier to get to. Choose scorestreaks that you don’t have to control yourself. For example, think of a UAV, a Counter-UAV and an Advanced UAV or SAE

Also, a Decoy Grenade is a useful piece of tactical equipment. Finally, for each player eliminated near this item, you get help points. Also, you should always try to win the game. After all, you get a juicy bonus!
