The first three qualifiers for the BLAST Premier Fall Finals have been defined, and, thanks to their victories in the last matchday, Heroic and FaZe Clan join NiP as qualifiers. Remember that these three teams won their respective groups and got their direct ticket to the Fall Finals.

On the other hand, the rest of the participating teams will play for the other three slots through the Play-In Stage, which will start in the next few hours.

The second half of the season has started with a bang, and the teams are giving their best to show their best level of play. After the last three qualifiers are known, the teams will have to travel immediately to IEM Cologne 2023 to play one of the most important tournaments in the CS:GO calendar.

Now, without further ado, let’s see what happened on the last day of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023.

Heroic stop NaVi’s comeback

We finally got to see this new NaVi lineup playing at the highest level of play possible, and they also came very close to completing an excellent comeback to win Group B. However, the cohesion and the excellent Team Play in Heroic prevented it, and now they will have to play for their lives in the Play-In Stage.

The series began in Mirage, NaVi’s map pick, where Heroic relied on a spectacular performance by Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard to take the victory. In the first half, NaVi had a great performance on their T-side and managed to win up to seven rounds to close with a tight score of 8-7. However, the Ukrainian defense could not cope with Heroic’s onslaught at the change of sides, and they lost 11-16.

In the second map, Inferno, the same thing happened as in Mirage, as NaVi started very well in the first half, winning with a partial score of 10-5. However, at the change of sides, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and his team suffered so much that they were down 11-13. Ultimately, they pulled off an extraordinary 16-14 victory to even the series 1-1.

Then, on the decisive map, Nuke, things changed radically, as this time it was Heroic who took control of the match in the first half to claim an excellent and crushing 11-4 partial victory. In the same way, NaVi would not stay with their arms crossed, and, thanks to a spectacular Mihai “iM” Ivan, they managed to get back on the scoreboard until they were 12-14 down. However, Martin “stavn” Lund stopped NaVi’s last two offensives to lead Heroic to a 16-12 victory.

FaZe Clan apply a clean sweep against Team Liquid

FaZe Clan in this BLAST Premier Fall Groups was no fairy tale, and, despite losing to Liquid in the Upper Bracket Final, the team bounced back against G2 Esports and took revenge on Liquid in the Group C Final. As a result, FaZe applied an extraordinary clean sweep to seal their ticket to the Fall Finals.

It all started in Overpass, FaZe Clan’s map pick, where Robin “ropz” Kool took the baton of his team, as in many opportunities, and led them to victory. The first half was a real beating by FaZe Clan on their T-side, as they got a partial victory by 10-5. Then, at the change of sides, Team Liquid managed to win two consecutive rounds, but, already, the map was sentenced, and FaZe took the victory by 16-7.

Then, the teams moved to Ancient, Team Liquid’s map pick, where we observed a completely different match but with the same final result, a FaZe victory. The first half ended with a good score for FaZe of 9-6, thanks to Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken and Finn “karrigan” Andersen, who denied several of Liquid’s attacks. At the change of sides, Team Liquid tried to wake up and put the score 11-13, but, FaZe managed to win the last three rounds to take the victory by 16-11.
