Heroic and ENCE advance to Gamers8 2023 semifinals

The excitement of Gamers8 2023 continues, and after the third day of matches, Heroic and ENCE continue to prove that they are two of the best teams currently playing in the CS:GO competitive scene. As a result, both teams managed victories over GamerLegion and Cloud9 to advance to the tournament’s semifinals.

There is no doubt that Heroic continues to show mind-blowing teamwork and that they do not cease to surprise every time they are in every game. Meanwhile, ENCE left the super team Cloud9 on the road, proving once again that, today, they are one of the best teams in the world.

Let’s see what happened in Heroic and ENCE’s matches on the third day of Gamers8 2023.

Heroic beat GamerLegion 2-1

The first match of this third day of Gamers8 2023 left a good taste in our mouths since GamerLegion showed their high level of play and even worried Heroic at some point in the game. However, the Danish squad prevailed to take an excellent 2-1 victory.

It all started in Inferno, GamerLegion’s map pick, where we witnessed a real beating by Heroic. In the first half, Heroic’s defense repelled each of GL’s attacks to take a 12-3 partial victory. Then, at the change of sides, the Danish squad quickly won four consecutive rounds to take the victory by 16-3.

On the second map, Vertigo, things changed thanks to an unexpected awakening by GamerLegion. Sebastian “Volt” Maloș and Isak “Isak” Fahlén led GL to victory on this map to even the series 1-1. In the first half, GamerLegion displayed spectacular offense on their T-side to take the 9-6 victory. Finally, at the change of sides, the Danes could not overcome GamerLegion’s defense to fall by 9-16.

Overpass was this series’s last and decisive map, where we saw Heroic strike back in great form. In the first half and with the Danes on their CT side, they managed a crushing 14-1 victory that undoubtedly left GL without many options. However, at the change of sides, GamerLegion tried to wake up and win six rounds, but this was not enough, as Heroic only needed to win 2 rounds to take the victory by 16-7.

ENCE destroy Cloud9 2-0

The second match of the day left us with one of the most surprising results of this Gamers8 2023. We are all clear that Cloud9’s new lineup is one of the most powerful currently on the CS:GO scene. However, ENCE doesn’t eat tales or get intimidated, as they pulled off a crushing 2-0 victory. Also, it’s worth noting that Cloud9 couldn’t win more than 7 rounds on either map.

It all started on Ancient, C9’s map pick, where ENCE started very well in the first half taking a 9-6 partial victory. Then, at the change of sides, Cloud9’s defense was practically invisible, as ENCE’s international squad was able to wreak havoc, and, after 8 rounds, they sealed their victory by 16-7.

On the second map, Anubis, things were similar, as ENCE, this time on their T-side, managed to take a 10-5 partial victory in the first half. Then, at the change of sides, ENCE’s defense was virtually impenetrable, and they managed to pull out a comfortable 16-6 victory.
