Popular Korean esports organization Gen.G has partnered with a top English football team from Premier League Manchester City FC. This partnership will aim to benefit the mutual goals of both organizations.

Manchester City, the reigning Premier League Champions, have achieved an impressive feat by securing the league title for three consecutive seasons. In addition, during the 2022-2023 season, the club attained remarkable success by winning the UEFA Champions League and the English Cup, completing a historic treble.

On the other hand, Gen.G, an esports organization established in 2017, has gained recognition for fielding nine top-level teams across popular gaming titles like League of Legends, Valorant, and Overwatch.

Notably, they have clinched eight championships so far, including two victories at the esteemed League of Legends World Championship.

This partnership aims to bring together the fan bases of both football and esports, offering unique experiences and engagement opportunities. Fans can look forward to exclusive content featuring talented individuals from both domains, accessible through various platforms.

Furthermore, in-person fan events will be organized in regions such as South Korea and the United Kingdom, enabling supporters to connect with their favorite teams and players in a meaningful way.

Man City’s presence in Esports

Over the past few years, Manchester City has witnessed significant growth in its own esports division. They have successfully established professional teams in popular games like Fortnite and EA Sports FIFA, boasting a global roster of players.

Among their notable talents are ‘Shellzz,’ who clinched the ePremier League Championship in 2020/21, and ‘Threats,’ who emerged victorious at the 2023 DreamHack San Diego event.
