It looks like Sony decided to conquer the PC market in multiple ways. The company recently announced a new brand called INZONE which specializes in PC hardware. The brand’s launch will feature two computer monitors compatible with PS5 along with three gaming headsets.

Two gaming monitors

The first INZONE product line will feature two 27-inch gaming monitors. The M5 model comes with a 1080p resolution, 244Hz refresh rate, Nvidia G-Sync technology, DisplayHDR 400 and support for 1.07 billion colours.

The M9 model is more high-end as it features a 4K resolution, however, the refresh rate is 144Hz. Other additions are G-Sync compatibility, VRR, DisplayHDR 600 and 1 ms response time, which is crucial in competitive gamesM9 also includes full-array local dimming with 96 lighting zones that make a better contrast of the image. Both models support USB type-C and HDMI 2.1. While the M9 monitor will cost $899, the cheaper model will retail for $529.

Three gaming headsets

Apart from monitors, Sony also released three gaming over-ear headsets with different technical characteristics and connection methods, however, their design is mostly the same for all models. The most expensive and refined is the wireless gaming headset INZONE H9 with noise cancellation and support for 360-degree sound. Its battery is said to work for 32 hours, while a 10-minute recharge should provide one hour of work. The price of H9 is $299.

The H7 model has a bigger battery and will work up to 40 hours, however, there’s no noise cancellation as with the more expensive model. H7 remains wireless with support of Bluetooth and 2.4GHz and will be distributed for $229. Last but not least, H3 is a wired model with spatial sound as with H9, but it lacks noise cancellation. The price of H3 is $100. All the headsets will also feature a flip-to-mute microphone and adjustable side arms to make a good fit for everyone.

The design

Not only do the technical specifications match the latest PlayStation console, but also the design of INZONE devices features the same white/black color scheme and the overall futuristic look as the PS5. It fits so perfectly that you can’t tell whether the bunch of these devices and a console were launched at the same time or with two years difference.

Sony says that both wireless headsets and the M9 monitor can work with PlayStation 5.  Thanks to Auto HDR Tone Mapping, M9 will optimize the image automatically. Both headsets will have volume settings between audio and voice chat.

All devices apart from M3 monitor will be available in summer 2022, while M3 doesn’t yet have an exact launch date. However, it is expected to ship by the end of this year.

INZONE in action

Soon we’ll see the new devices on set as Sony announced that INZONE will be the official partner of Evolution Championship Series, one of the biggest annual fighting games events. EVO was acquired by Sony last March so the move was quite expected. The deal is signed until 2023 and we can expect to see INZONE hardware on upcoming EVO 2022, which is scheduled for August 5-7 in Las Vegas.

INZONE has also become the official headset partner of the Valorant Champions Tour. The deal will take effect with the upcoming Stage 2 Masters tournament set to run between July 10th-24th in Copenhagen, Denmark.
