After being an official and, more importantly, permanent part of the LCS broadcast talent lineup in 2023, Gabby Durden announced that she will no longer be part of the league next season.

According to Durdean’s official statement, she was waiting for the season to end in the LCS to break this news officially. In addition, she also took it upon herself to thank all the fans, league members, teams, and players who supported her through this stage of her career.

This is a great loss for the official broadcasts of the LCS, as the league is not very popular, and Gabby Durden was one of the most striking faces of the broadcasts. However, it is a personal decision on Durden’s part, and the only thing left to do is to respect her and, above all, to thank her for everything she gave for the scene.

Gabby Durden announces she is leaving the LCS

Through a statement on her Twitter account, Gabby Durden announced that she will no longer be part of the LCS broadcast team as of next season.

As we note, in the official statement, Durden mentions that she is not yet “ready” to give details about this decision. However, she said she was very grateful to LoL esports, as they inspired and helped her career for the past 10 years. In addition, she also said that she was very grateful to the community for all their support and, for now, she will continue to “connect” with her fans as a “broadcaster and music artist.”

About Gabby Durden

For those who don’t know her, Gabby Durden first stepped into the LoL scene in 2019 when she was a guest presenter at the Collegiate League of Legends World Championship. Thanks to her excellent work in the tournament, the LCS included her in its list of talents to present the different interviews at the LCS Summer Split 2019. After a while, Durden made a niche within the league, and she was included in the play-by-play alongside Joshua “Jatt” Leesman, Isaac “Azael” Cummings-Bentley, and Barento “Raz” Mohammed.

Likewise, Gabby had different complicated moments within the LCS, specifically at the beginning of this season, when they issued statements regarding a problem between TSM and Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng.

As a result, Gabby “LeTigress” Durden decides to withdraw from broadcasts for her “mental health,” as she received many “hate messages” from members of the community.

However, after Gabby returned to the broadcasts, we always observed the same class and dedication. So there is no doubt that she retired from the scene by the big door.

For now, we can only wish Gabby the best of success in her plans.
