The emotions of the VALORANT Champions 2023 Group Stage continue, and after a day full of action and, above all, emotions, FÜT Esports and LOUD managed to seal their ticket to the tournament’s playoffs. As a result, two of the five EMEA teams are eliminated from the tournament (NaVi and Team Liquid), while Giants will play for their lives in the coming hours against EDward Gaming.

The other side of the coin is T1 and NaVi, two teams that arrived as favorites to advance to the tournament playoffs. However, their adventure ended ahead of schedule, and they should be flying back home right now.

Only two games are left for the VALORANT Champions 2023 Group Stage to end, so we invite you to stay tuned for more updates.

Let’s see what happened in the FÜT Esports and LOUD matches on the previous day of VALORANT Champions 2023.

LOUD apply a reverse sweep against NaVi to qualify for playoffs

One of the most anticipated matches in this Group Stage, NaVi vs. LOUD, left us with many emotions, as either team could have won. However, the Brazilians applied an excellent reverse sweep to get their ticket to the VALORANT Champions 2023 playoffs.

Pearl

It all started in Pearl, NaVi’s map pick, where the European squad started extremely strong to get their only win in the series. In the first half, NaVi’s defense prevented LOUD’s approaches to take a partial victory by 8-4. Then, at the change of sides, LOUD tried to wake up and even got 11-12 on the scoreboard, but NaVi won the last round to take the victory by 13-11.

Ascent

In the second map, Ascent, we lived a similar story since it was an exciting and balanced match. NaVi started strong again, their defensive side to win six of the first seven rounds, but LOUD responded by evening the score 6-6. Then, at the change of sides, we had a back-and-forth match defined in the last round with an excellent victory for the Brazilians that evened the series 1-1.

Bind

Finally, in Bind, we again enjoyed an intense and exciting match, as, like the first two maps, it ended with a score of 13-11. The Brazilian squad had a very good offense in the first half to take a narrow 7-5 partial victory. However, NaVi did not keep their arms crossed and evened the score 10-10, so either team could win. Finally, LOUD managed to take advantage of their defensive side to win by 13-11, thus sealing their ticket to the playoffs.

FÜT Esports annihilate T1 2-0

The day’s second match saw FÜT Esports annihilate T1 2-0 to seal their ticket to the VALORANT Champions 2023 playoffs. While it is true that both matches were balanced and exciting, it was the Turkish squad who prevailed to take the victory.

Bind

It all started in Bind, T1’s map pick, where we saw two completely different games. In the first half, FÜT Esports deployed a mind-blowing defense that prevented each of T1’s approaches from taking an excellent partial victory by 10-3. However, this only made T1 wake up, as the South Koreans won 7 of the first 8 rounds to make the score 9-11. However, this was not enough, as FÜT managed to win two rounds to take the victory by 13-10.

Pearl

The second map, Pearl, was much more exciting than the first since, after 24 rounds, the teams had to play two more rounds to define the match in Overtime. The map started with the EMEA squad taking a big step forward by winning the first half 7-5. However, at the change of sides, the T1 boys woke up in great form to even the score at 12-12 and sent the map to Overtime. Ultimately, FÜT won the two extra rounds to take the 14-12 victory and thus qualify for the VCT Champions 2023 playoffs.
