The B-Tier LAN tournament in Belgrade, Serbia, PARI Please 2023, is in full swing, and we have already enjoyed the first matches of Groups A and B.

The most difficult group, Group B, undoubtedly left us with excellent victories by Eternal Fire and FURIA against PARIVISION and Aurora, respectively, which brought them closer to the tournament playoffs. Remember that this event has a prize pool of $100,000, distributed among the teams that finish within the TOP 4 of the table.

Likewise, to fight for the prize, the teams must pass the Group Phase, and in the next few hours, we will know which four teams will qualify for the next phase.

Let’s see what happened in the PARI Please 2023 Group B matches.

Eternal Fire apply a clean sweep against PARIVISION

The Turkish squad faced the Russians of PARIVISION with the firm conviction of respecting their favorite tag to fight for first place in Group B. After two disputed maps, EF achieved a solid victory that led them to apply a clean sweep and thus advance to the Winner’s Match.

It all started in Anubis, EF’s map pick, where the Turks and the Russians gave us a spectacular first half, which ended with the score even at 6-6. However, at the change of sides, the offensive power of the Turks came to the fore in their T Side to win 7 of the 8 rounds that were played and take the victory by 13-7.

Then, in the second map, Overpass, things started differently than in Anubis, since Eternal Fire, commanded by Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş, took a step forward to take a comfortable partial victory by 9-3 in the first half. Finally, at the change of sides, after 8 disputed rounds (4-4), Eternal Fire retook the win by 13-7 to advance to the Winners Match.

FURIA apply a reverse sweep to beat Aurora 2-1

Finally, the last match of the tournament’s Group Stage, on the first day, ended with an excellent comeback by FURIA, which applied a reverse sweep to beat Aurora 2-1 and thus advance to the Winners Match.

It all started in Mirage, FURIA’s map pick, where we enjoyed an extremely close match from start to finish. In the first half, Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato and Aleksandr “KENSI” Gurkin led their squads to an excellent score of 6-6. However, the CIS squad deployed a spectacular offense to overcome FURIA by 13-11 at the change of sides.

Then, in the second map, Ancient, things changed radically, especially in the first half, where FURIA pulled out the chest to take the partial victory by 10-2 on their CT Side. However, Aurora’s defense was impenetrable to the change of sides, and they were very close to winning. Still, FURIA won the last rounds by 13-11 and even the series 1-1.

Finally, the teams moved to Overpass, where we enjoyed a spectacular give-and-take that ended with a FURIA victory. In the first half, Aurora came out with incredible determination, and they took an 8-4 partial victory. However, at the change of sides, KSCERATO, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, and Andrei “arT” Piovezan were a nightmare for Aurora on the CT Side and managed to come from behind to take the victory by 13-10.
