After four and a half years, frozen has left MOUZ and will soon join FaZe Clan. The move is not yet officially announced but it’s almost guaranteed to happen.

For FaZe, that’s great news. Frozen is certainly capable of replacing Twistzz, who was a phenomenal rifler for the club. But what will happen to MOUZ?

Frozen’s results with MOUZ

Frozen joined MOUZ in March 2019, when he was around 17 years old. To receive a contract from such a great organization and not get kicked for almost five years is an impressive achievement in and of itself.

While having frozen as part of their CS2 roster, MOUZ won half a dozen tournaments:

  • DreamHack Open Tours 2019
  • CS:GO Asia Championships 2019
  • ESL Pro League S10 Finals
  • cs_summit 5
  • ICE Challenge 2000
  • ESL Pro League S18

They also played in three other Grand Finals and finished 3rd – 4th at IEM Rio Major 2022.

These results are very impressive and suggest that frozen, in the eyes of MOUZ’s decision-makers, had an important input.

Why FaZe Clan wanted frozen

Frozen is an excellent rifler and his profile is similar to that of Twistzz. He understands the game very well and his accuracy is extremely good. This means that he could, in theory, replace him successfully in a matter of months or even weeks.

Right now, FaZe are easily one of the strongest teams in CS2 and they don’t want to lose the edge they have. That requires, among other things, the preservation of the strength of the roster. Luckily for them, only Twistzz left and the other four members have been competing together for nearly two years.

This kind of stability is hard to build. But whenever someone leaves, the replacement needs to be of the same caliber. Frozen is the perfect choice here.

What will happen to MOUZ?

MOUZ will need to find someone to replace frozen and it won’t be easy. There aren’t that many great players around who can do what he does. But without a doubt, an organization like MOUZ will quickly find someone who’s perfect for the role.
