shAy is a former Brazilian professional CS:GO player, now turned influencer with thousands of followers on Instagram. Unfortunately, this 30-year-old Brazilian was sentenced three years ago to 116 years in prison plus a “fine.” Although she was given 116 years in her sentence, in Brazil, criminal laws do not allow prisoners to spend more than 30 years in jail.

shAy was sentenced to 116 years for fraud

As mentioned, shAy was convicted of fraud related to an online store she ran from 2013 to 2017. More than 100 customers claimed they never received the products they had purchased or a refund from the store.

This beautiful player denied every accusation and mentioned that it was all the fault of her ex-husband and business partner, Renato Silva Savoia. After taking full responsibility for the fraud and publishing the sentence of 116 years in prison, shAy appealed the sentence.

shAy’s sentence was reduced by almost 100%

The São Paulo court has decided to reduce shAy’s sentence to 3 years and nine months. In addition, instead of going to prison, the 30-year-old influencer will only have to perform community service in her country.

After reviewing her case again, the Brazilian court found different mistakes during the first trial. In addition to fraud, shAy was also found guilty of participating in a criminal gang.

According to the MP’s complaint, the criminal association was headed by Renato Silva Savoia, then shAy’s partner. Silva led the group, founded more than 35 companies, and was convicted for registering some of these companies in his name.

Between 2013 and 2017, shAy competed in CS:GO for teams such as Santos Dexterity, Team Innova, Team oNe, and Keyd Stars and had already successfully run in CS 1.6. In addition, she was later known for being the girlfriend of now-former Imperial Esports player Fernando “fer” Alvarenga.

shAy’s defense said that the punishment was too harsh and that the victims of the fraud were compensated, which “was ignored by the court.”

shAy was well-known in the South American scene

Before becoming an influencer, shAy was one of Brazil’s best CS:GO, players. She lasted more than ten years competing in both CS:GO and CS 1.6. Her beginnings were in 2008, and she retired in 2019, playing under the Keyd Stars Female banner.

Right now, shAy lives in Paraguay with her husband, goalkeeper Jean, a former São Paulo player who currently plays for Cerro Porteño. She is expecting her first child and is currently focused on her activities as an influencer and content creator.
