Fnatic beat Cloud9 to stay alive at Worlds 2023

The emotions of Worlds 2023 continue, and after several days of rest, we have excellent news for all LEC fans. And it is that Fnatic got an excellent victory against Cloud9 to stay alive in the tournament.

This is extraordinary news for an organization that started the season with many doubts and even failed to qualify for the Group Stage of a Split in the LEC for the first time in its history. However, the orange squad gradually woke up, and now they are just one step away from the quarterfinals of the Worlds 2023.

There is no doubt that this season has been complex for this popular European team, which has been on the brink of the abyss on many occasions. However, so far, they have come out of these situations unscathed, so things are expected to remain the same.

Fnatic resists and beats Cloud9 by 2-1

Fnatic’s thing is more of a habit, as the team keeps winning games when they are on the brink of elimination.

Ivan “Razork” Martin and Marek “Humanoid” Brázda carried Fnatic in this match against Cloud9 to apply a reverse sweep and claim a 2-1 victory to advance to the final day of the Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage.

Then, in the second match, Fnatic came out much more orderly than ever, and thanks to Humanoid’s Syndra, they managed to destroy the North American squad completely. As a result, Fnatic took the victory in 27:44 minutes and sent the series to the third and final map.

Finally, Fnatic came out with a clearer idea of the last map, making a spectacular Champion Draft and banning some of their recent problems. Finally, Korean AD Carry Oh “Noah” Hyeon-taek managed to save Fnatic from falling into the abyss and destroyed Cloud9 with Aphelios to close the series with a 2-1 victory.

What’s next for Fnatic?

Now, Fnatic advances to the last day of the Swiss Stage of this Worlds 2023; they will play next Sunday (with time and opponent to be defined) to compete for a place in the tournament’s Quarterfinals.
