The movements in the League of Legends competitive scene continue, and, this time, FlyQuest announced the departure of one of the best players in the LCS, Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan.

According to the organization’s statement, they agreed with the player to part ways. This is a hard blow for the team and the fans, as we are talking about one of the most talented players in NA. Also, as a free agent, Prince can join any rival team in the LCS or jump to another region.

One way or another, we know that any Tier 1 team would be thrilled to have Prince in their ranks in 2024.

FlyQuest announce Prince’s departure

Through a post on its official Twitter/X account, FlyQuest announced that Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan is no longer part of the team’s lineup.

After only one season in the LCS, Prince says goodbye to one of the teams that was giving a very pleasant surprise this season. Remember that Prince is a talented young man who played for Liiv SANDBOX in the LCK.

While Prince was highly ranked in the LCK, FlyQuest made him an unreasonable offer for the Korean to leave his country and the LCK for 2023. As a result, FQ assembled a dangerous, powerful, and, above all, talented squad.

The fruits were seen early in the season, when the team got off to an excellent start, leading virtually the entire Spring Split in the regular season. However, the team could not show a good level in the playoffs, nor could they qualify for the MSI 2023.

Prince showed all his quality and talent throughout the tournament and was even the second-best KDA player in the LCS.

FQ came up short in the summer

There is no doubt that both Prince and FlyQuest were hoping to rise from the ashes in the Summer Split, as it was their last chance to qualify for Worlds 2023. However, these expectations were quickly dashed, as they had a terrible 0-6 record in the first two weeks.

The team had a really good closing of the Split, as they managed to win 6 games. However, this was not enough, as the team failed to qualify for the LCS Championship, let alone Worlds 2023.

It is unclear if Prince will decide to leave for another LCS team or if he will jump to the LEC, LCK, or LPL. On the other hand, in the last few days, he has been seen playing with some friends who will play in Worlds 2023 on the Korean servers.

Now that Prince is a Free Agent, he can join any team in any region of the world. However, he must wait for the transfer window to start on November 21, 2023.
