ESL Pro League S18 Group B predictions

Group B of ESL Pro League S18 is about to start and the matches ahead look just as exciting as those from group A, which finished with the victory of Team Vitality, Movistar Riders, Astralis, and FURIA Esports.

With teams like Heroic, ENCE, MOUZ, Monte, and BIG, this group is guaranteed to be a challenge for everyone involved. It might start with easy matches for Heroic, MOUZ, and ENCE, but everything that comes after that will be a struggle.

Group B participants

Here are the teams that will play in group B of ESL Pro League S18:

• Rooster
• BIG
• Monte
• MOUZ
• MIBR
• Evil Geniuses
• ENCE

Looking at these teams and knowing the composition of their rosters, it’s hard to be optimistic about Rooster, MIBR, and EG’s chances. All three of them have no chance whatsoever to advance to the playoffs.

But the good part is that the other five teams are very strong and will likely cause numerous problems to each other. Heroic are currently ranked 2^nd in the world and have not had a roster change in a very long time. Casper “cadiaN” Moller is determined to win trophies and is enjoying one of the best seasons of his entire career.

ENCE recently made some roster moves that brought them amazing results. In recent months, since the start of the Summer, they finished either 2^nd or 1^st in every tournament they attended. They won at IEM Dallas and played in the Grand Final of IEM Cologne and Gamers8.

This level of consistency clearly indicates that something has changed in how they approach the game. The roster has remained unchanged in the last six months, but the strategy has been improved considerably.

MOUZ, Monte, and BIG are roughly the same in terms of strength, even though their global ranks differ significantly. The first two of these teams are slightly better than the third and will likely end up qualifying for the playoffs, but an upset could easily happen.

The results in this group look predetermined when it comes to Heroic and ENCE. The other two playoffs spots are up for grabs. But, as mentioned earlier, there are only three teams that can realistically win them.

The seeding seems to favor MOUZ a bit because they will face fewer tough teams. For BIG and Monte, survival in this group will be a struggle.
