The first rumors about EA Sports FC have already surfaced, so we gatehred everything you need to know about EA’s next project after the FIFA license expires.

FIFA 23 marks the end of an era. After a partnership of almost 30 years, Electronic Arts announced a rebranding, replacing FIFA. After FIFA 23, EA will rebrand future titles to EA Sports FC. FIFA President Gianni Infantino has unveiled a new ‘e-game’ set to compete with EA Sports FC, and community members have met with wild reactions to the bizarre announcement.

A new era begins

Although EA lost the FIFA license, the company still owns an impressive collection of exclusive licenses with 19,000 players for more than 700 teams in over 100 stadiums in more than 30 leagues. EA has also assured fans that they will still be able to play all known game modes.

EA heralded the new title as “the start of an exciting new era,” so we took a head-to-head look at what fans can expect from EA Sports FC in Year One.

EA Sports FC Ultimate Team

In an interview with the New York Times, EA executive David Jackson explained: “Under the licensing agreements we had with FIFA ten years ago, there were some limitations that didn’t allow us to offer this experience to players create.”

One of the new features may have already appeared, as FUTZone has leaked that there will be Dynamic Packs in EA Sports FC Ultimate Team.

As players open more packs, they have a higher chance of getting a highly rated or special card. For example, if you haven’t gotten a card after 15 packs, you have a 5% chance of getting a 90-plus card.

Every year FIFA introduces a new group of icons and heroes. FUTZone has revealed the first two Legends fans can expect to see in EA Sports FC.

Dimitar Berbatov has shone in four seasons at Manchester United, winning two Premier League titles and lifting the Golden Boot in 2010/11. The memorable striker is Bulgaria’s all-time top scorer and has also surpassed the iconic Hristo Stoichkov in most Bulgarian Footballer of the Year awards.

FUTZone has also announced that Iconic Bobby Charlton will join EA Sports FC.

Charlton is a man who needs no introduction. The England midfielder is considered one of the greatest players of all time, winning the 1996 World Cup with England and also the Ballon d’Or that year.
