Many popular Dota 2 teams, including BetBoom, beastcoast, Talon Esports, Fnatic, and Boom Esports, are set to undergo a significant revamp ahead of the 2023 Dota 2 Pro Circuit season.

The Dota 2 community may still have the buzz of Tundra’s historic victory, but it’s time for other teams to be revalued. A number of Dota 2 teams will reshuffle their rosters over the course of the next two months, some of which have already been made public. The most recent roster change updates are provided here to help you keep track of the exciting roster changes that are taking place in the Dota 2 off-season.

BetBoom released its entire Dota 2 roster

Russian organization BetBoom parted ways with its entire Dota 2 roster just seven months after their signing. All five members of the team are currently available as free agents and BetBoom is also likely to continue supporting the Dota scene, but with a different team. However, Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev still has the team’s Division I spot for the upcoming 2022-2023 DPC season, even though BetBoom has no ambitions to serve as a sponsor. In the months ahead, anyone who remains on the roster alongside him will be able to qualify for the first Major of the year without battling open qualifiers or Division II.

The following players are released by BetBoom:

  • Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin
  • Denis “Larl” Sigitov
  • Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko
  • Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosian
  • Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev

Beastcoast reveals new Dota 2 roster featuring two Thunder Awaken players

The South American organization, beascoast has parted way with Wisper and Chris Luck, marking the end of one of Dota’s longest-standing rosters, who played a combined 449 competitive games together. The revised lineup was first revealed by Beastcoast captain Steven “StingeR” Mamani a few days ago in a Twitter post.

Although he deleted the tweet immediately, it had already sparked more speculation that the whole TA roster would be departing the organization. To fill the void left by the duo, beastcoast has acquired Herrera “DarkMago” Gonzalo and Rafael “Sacred” Yonatan from the Thunder Awaken roster, who performed magnificently in TI11.

Beastcoast’s new Dota 2 roster:

  • Héctor “K1” Rodríguez
  • Herrera “DarkMago” Gonzalo
  • Rafael “Sacred” Yonatan
  • Elvis “Gōjira” Peña
  • Steven “StingeR” Mamani

Fnatic cut ties with Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong and Lee “SunBhie” Jeong-jae.

After serving for Fnatic for almost two years, Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong and coach Lee “SunBhie” Jeong-jae have left the European organization, leaving its Dota 2 roster down to four players ahead of the 2023 DPC season. The adjustments follow the team’s underwhelming performance at TI11, where they were eliminated from the competition in the first round of the playoffs. The Thai Dota 2 superstar, Jabz joined Fnatic in September 2018 and has since served in the team in a variety of roles, including offlaner, soft support, and hard support.

Throughout his tenure with the team, he won numerous events, including the DOTA Summit 12 and the World E-sports Legendary League. However, as the post-TI11 roster reshuffle picks up steam, it will be interesting to see who would replace Jabz and Sunbhie in the European organization. Daryl “iceiceice” Koh, who was recently fired from Team SMG, appears to be a strong candidate for the available offlane slot in Fnatic, in the eyes of fans.

Fnatic’s updated Dota 2 roster is as follow:

  • Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios
  • Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto
  • Djardel Jicko B. “DJ” Mampusti
  • Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla

Talon Esports bids farewell to Brizio “Hyde” Budiana and Damien “kpii” Chok

Talon Esports joined the roster shuffle action as well, letting go of Brizio “Hyde” Budiana and Damien “kpii” Chok. Although Talon performed well at the regional leagues, they were unable to keep up with the other teams at LAN events, most recently TI11, where they were eliminated during the group stage of the event after losing tiebreaker matches.

Hyde and kpii, who had been on the squad since the team’s inception in late 2021, played major roles in Talon’s ascent in Southeast Asia. The status of the remaining players’ contracts is currently unknown. However, based on the nature of Dota 2’s offseason, fans can anticipate more roster moves from the organization as the month progresses.

Following Hyde and kpii’s departure, Talon’s Dota 2 lineup is as follows

  • Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon
  • Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman
  • Worawit “Q” Mekchai

BOOM esports parts ways with JaCkky, hinting at a potential rebuild

The Laotian carry player Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong confirms with a Tweet that he is seeking a new team, leaving Saieful “Fbz” Ilham as the only active player on BOOM Esports’s Dota 2 roster. JaCkky joined the Indonesian organization on February 2022, replacing Justine “Tino” Grimaldo ahead of the Regional Finals of the first SEA DPC tour of the season.

The SEA team had a strong start to the year as they dominated the region and took home many regional events including BTS Pro Series Season 12: Southeast Asia and GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022. However, in light of the team’s dismal performance in its first-ever International, JaCkky is considering other opportunities for the 2023 upcoming season, while BOOM Esports may head for a complete rebuild.
