The DPC 2023 Spring Tour is approaching, and different Dota 2 organizations worldwide are changing their lineups to improve the results obtained in the winter season.

Now, the Southeast Asian organization, Bleed Esports, announced on its Twitter account two new signings ahead of the DPC 2023 Spring Tour. They are one of the most popular Dota 2 players in the Philippines, Djardel “DJ” Mampusti, and one of the legends of this esports in Southeast Asia, Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang.

DJ and iceiceice sign with Bleed Esports for the DPC 2023 Spring Tour

In a post on its official Twitter account, Bleed Esports announced the signing of DJ and iceiceice for the DPC 2023 Spring Tour. A Tweet hinted at this signing from Bleed Esports CEO LuponWxc, who does the official DPC broadcasts in Filipino under the moniker Alowxc.

Bleed Esports was very close to being relegated to DPC Division II, as they finished in sixth place with really disappointing results. Because of this, the organization decided to radically change its lineup to improve its performance in the Spring Tour.

Therefore, two weeks ago, Bleed Esports decided to release Natthaphon “Maros” Ouanphakdee and Prieme “PlayHard” Banquil. From then on, rumors started that DJ and iceiceice would be the viable alternatives to complete the team’s lineup.

Djardel “DJ” Mampusti

JD is widely known in the professional Dota 2 scene for playing most of his career under the banner of Fnatic. While for many, this would be his home until retirement, due to the current landscape of the organization in Dota 2, the player had to look for new ways to continue his career.

Recall that two weeks ago, Fnatic had to temporarily leave the Dota 2 competitive scene due to the terrible start of the season they had. This marked the departure of Fnatic after ten consecutive years at the highest competitive level and after dominating the SEA region of the DPC for many years. This announcement forced players to leave the organization and look for a new home.

One of those Fnatic players was DJ, and he left Fnatic after wearing the orange jersey for over five years.

Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang

On the other hand, iceiceice had been a free agent for over four months when Team SMG decided to release him after failing to comply with league regulations regarding the team’s registration deadline. Since then, the popular Singaporean player did not have a team to represent until now.

Bleed Esports hopes that with this pair of players, they can turn around the results achieved in the winter season. The DPC 2023 Spring Tour starts next March 13, 2023.

Bleed Esports’ starting lineup for the DPC 2023 Spring Tour is as follows:

  • Sulia “Jackky” Khoomfetsavong
  • Teng “Kordan” Tjin Yao
  • Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang
  • Jardel “DJ” Jiko Mampusti
  • Kim “Dubu” Du-young
  • Lee “Forev” Sang Dong
