Call of Duty team Chicago Huntsmen have announced the signing of Brandon “Dashy” Otell, in what is the first transfer ahead of the 2021 league campaign. Dashy left Optic Gaming Los Angeles at the beginning of September, however he spent little time as a free agent, with the Chicago Huntsmen having been quick to snap up the Canadian-born Lebanese player.

Having finished fourth in the regular season and third at the championships following a defeat against Atlanta FaZe in the losers’ bracket finals, Chicago will be hoping that the arrival of Dashy will take them to the next level, with the 21-year-old being widely regarded as one of the best CoD players in the world today. He already has one CDL Championship success to his name, along with a number of third-place finishes, with his ability to step up to the mark in important moments making him an excellent acquisition for the Huntsmen.

What Will the Chicago Huntsmen Roster Look Like This Season?

Dashy’s arrival will see him reunite with Seth “Scump” Abner, with the duo having shown their quality for OpTic Gaming during the 2019 Black Ops 4 season. The Chicago Huntsmen roster will be completed by Dylan “Envoy” Hannon and Matthew “Formal” Piper, with the quartet having the potential to be one of the best in the league.

Announcing the news on their official Twitter page, the Huntsmen posted “Welcome Back”, in reference to the fact that he will also be reunited with CEO Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez, who was formally owner of OpTic. Dashy was clearly delighted to join his new team, who released Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson, Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson, and Pierce “Gunless” Hillman just last week.

Can Dashy Help The Huntsmen in Achieving Their Goals?

There will almost certainly not be any additional roster changes for the Huntsmen ahead of the new season, however Dashy will know that he must improve upon his performances from the last campaign, with expectations being greater than ever. Dashy was benched during the 2020 season upon the arrival of both Darien “Hollow” Chverchko and Zach “Drazah” Jordan at OpTic Gaming, however he helped the team in reaching the next round of the lower bracket when replacing Kenny “Kuavo” Williams in Map 5.
