The Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association’s official website is offline, and numerous prominent members are said to have departed the organization, leaving the association’s future in limbo.

The website for the Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association (CSPPA) has expired, and the URL is no longer valid. The CSPPA was founded in 2018 by Scott “SirScoots” Smith, Michael Doy, and Mads Oland with the purpose of representing the interests and rights of professionals in esports.

In addition to participating in the scheduling of tournaments, the organization is in charge of setting the dates for the summer and winter breaks between championships so that professional players can unwind and prepare for the forthcoming events.

In addition to the website outages, the CSPPA is also experiencing many problems. Due to the organization’s lack of activity during the preceding nine months and the lack of updates on its official social handles since 2022, questions regarding its fundamental existence have been raised by many fans. Many fans think that CSPPA’s activities have been discontinued, but no announcements or statements have been made to confirm this.

CSPPA’s future is in limbo

Many notable members of CSPPA have already left, while the few left have no idea about the organization’s activities. Johnny “JT” Theodosiou and Maikil “Golden” Selim are reportedly no longer affiliated with the CSPPA, according to Dust2.us and HLTV. Martin “STYKO” Styk, one of the board’s most active members, also departed the organization because of a busy schedule and a sense that the CSPPA wasn’t getting much done.

Chris “chrisJ” de Jong, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, and Endpoint’s Max “MiGHTYMAX” Heath are the only members of the board who are currently active, according to Liquipedia. This might not last for very long, though, as Team Vitality member apEX was considering quitting and was unaware of the CSPPA’s ongoing efforts, according to HLTV.

On the other hand, Endpoint’s IGL, MiGHTYMAX, acknowledged he was still a board member. In addition, MiGHTYMAX mentioned that after Michael Døi, the CSPPA’s previous COO, resigned, there had been discussions about relaunching the organization.

Further, MiGHTYMAX told HLTV the organization found a new COO to replace Michael D, but that person’s identity remains a secret and the addition has never been officially announced. Due to the blunders and gaffes that have tarnished the organization’s reputation in the scene, it is unlikely that the CSPPA will retain its current form or that its second attempt at forming a new professional CS players union will succeed.
