The announced CS:GO sequel, Counter-Strike 2, will finally see a bomb update that players have been asking for for a long time.

But as it is, you can never please everyone and players are already wanting another change. After all, the beta is there to collect player feedback and to find bugs and fix them. While fans love the bomb update, they want the developers to go one step further and add another feature to the game.

Bomb icon is not enough

As a part of the Counter-Strike 2 closed beta run, Valve continues to add tons of new features to perfect the shooter leading up to its release this summer, but one particular change has quickly resulted in a new “proposal” for a new feature.

Valve recently included a bomb icon to sit over the images of the terrorists holding them, and now players want the CS2 developers to go a step further and add icons for the defusing kits. The theme resonated well on Reddit and CTs got a little jealous and started wanting their own icon too.

The new bomb icon is one of the latest features introduced in the CS2 beta. Elsewhere, Valve has included new smoke grenades that change gameplay by disintegrating when a grenade or projectile smashes through them. The developers also changed the UI, crosshairs and removed the tick system that fans have been begging for years.

Bug renders new smokes useless

The new Smoke definitely has a few flaws that need ironing out. The smoke that’s supposed to fill the rooms in CS2 seems to have the unintended ability to nest in certain walls and is already wreaking havoc in beta matches. A player saw the bug in action and shared a video on Reddit showing its smoke filling the wall instead of blocking the door on the B-site.

by u/soonpls in GlobalOffensive

Older CS:GO players may remember the smoke in the middle of the door of Dust 2 in Global Offensive, where the grenade lands on a hinge and forms a one-way street. This glitch occurs in a similar way, but instead of obscuring the door, it goes into the wall. The bow then leaves little to no smoke over the door.

This might look interesting, but it renders the thrown smokes virtually useless and ruins any kind of quick push or defensive play. Hopefully, Valve can fix all bugs during the live beta as well. Otherwise, you will see a lot of strange smoke grenades in Counter-Strike 2.
