Riot to deliver live VCT action to Indian Fans this December

Riot’s commitment to India’s developing gaming culture is demonstrated by Convergence, which is the country’s second international event. The first competition was the VALORANT India Invitational, which took place the previous year and included top competitors vying for the US$100,000 prize fund, including Team Heretics, Paper Rex, Team Secret, and Rex Regum Qeon.

Throughout the past year, Riot Games has taken several steps to improve player experience and encourage community involvement in India. Recently, Riot Games organized a beach clean-up with the Indian gaming community to commemorate the one-year anniversary of VALORANT’s first-ever Indian agent Harbour. Riot also held BHARAT VALORANT events to honor the third anniversary of VALORANT in India.

Convergence is Riot’s way of saying “thank you” to the Indian fans who have backed VALORANT since its inception in 2020, according to the Esports Lead for India & South Asia. The goal of Riot’s India team expansion is to give players in the region hyperlocal experiences.

Indian fans will be able to interact with their favorite VALORANT athletes off-stage and watch live performances by them thanks to Convergence. The occasion is seen as a fitting cap to the 2023 VCT season and the start of Riot’s promise to hold more international competitions in India.

The Esports Club’s Managing Director and Founder showed enthusiasm for working with Riot Games on Convergence. The creator emphasized that the occasion will help boost India’s standing in the international gaming arena in addition to improving Indian players’ esports experience.
