After several days of rumors about Team Liquid’s move to Europe, the departure of Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, the team’s mainstay for the past eight years, has been confirmed. There was much talk that EliGE would join Evil Geniuses, and according to several reports, this move was very close to being finalized. However, Complexity Gaming stepped forward and signed the American legend.

Team Liquid’s current situation is clear: move to Europe to better prepare; as a result, the team parted ways with its legend, EliGE, and signed Aleks “Rainwaker” Petrov and Robert “Patsi” Isyanov.

EliGE signs with Complexity Gaming

Through a really interesting and somewhat amusing video, Complexity Gaming announced the signing of Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski to their CS:GO starting lineup.

While it is true that EliGE is only 25 years old, he is a truly experienced player and is widely regarded as one of the legends of the game in NA. As mentioned in Complexity’s Tweet video, there were many rumors in recent days regarding EliGE’s status at Team Liquid. According to reports, the American had a deal with Evil Geniuses, but it all fell apart in the last few hours, and he opted to sign with COL.

EliGE reunites at Complexity Gaming with Michael “Grim” Wince, his teammate, for several seasons at Team Liquid. In addition, he will also play with one of the best AWPers on the scene today, Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli. However, it’s not all good news at COL. Justin “FaNg” Coakley is sacrificed from Complexity Gaming’s lineup following EliGE’s arrival.

Undoubtedly, the signing of EliGE greatly improves Complexity Gaming’s roster. They should now be the strongest North American team in the scene. Also, considering Team Liquid’s impending NA exit, that would leave only Evil Geniuses, who have many problems in their CS:GO division, and COL as top-tier teams. As a result, Complexity should have a clear path to dominate the various qualifiers in the Americas, especially in the RMRs for the upcoming CS2 Majors.

Complexity Gaming’s lineup is as follows:

  • Ioannis Johnny’ “JT” Theodosiou
  • Grim
  • Hallzerk
  • EliGE
  • Ricky “floppy” Kemery

EliGE will debut with Complexity Gaming on July 13 at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023.

Disaster at Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses is one of the teams involved in more rumors in this players’ break and transfer market. The North American organization has reportedly been in talks and even verbal agreements with Denis “electroNic” Sharipov, Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko, and Audric “JACKZ” Jug. However, the latest reports detail that everything fell apart, and the organization did not reach an agreement with any player.

On the other hand, in the last few hours, there are also mentions that Evil Geniuses has plans to upgrade their EG Black lineup for their main team. All these are just rumors, and we must wait for confirmation from the organization.
