Coca-Cola Ultimate, the new League of Legends-inspired Coca-Cola, is set to hit supermarket shelves soon.
Coca-Cola is next to jump on the bandwagon and start a marketing line of gamer products. The soda maker has now created a flavor designed specifically for League of Legends players. Considering its worldwide popularity, Coca-Cola, could become a competitor to the various drinks in the gaming space.
We've got our first look at the next #CocaColaCreations flavor!

New cola variety for gamers leaked
The Twitter channel SodaSeekers took a first look at this new type of cola inspired by Riot Games’ League of Legends and shared it with the community. Seemingly the latest addition to the Coke Creations line, the Coca-Cola Ultimate is rumored to be out in June. However, this promotion is supposedly limited in time and will run until September.
Because such experimental lemonade lines from Coca-Cola usually don’t taste very good, the excitement about this new product seems to be rather limited, at least for now. Some of the company’s previous special editions of the soda include the graham cracker-esque Starlight, the pineapple-esque Dreamworld, and what pop artist Marshmello is said to taste like.
Besides the signature League of Legends design, this new edition of Coca-Cola is supposed to be “+XP flavored,” so I guess we’ll have to wait to find out how League tastes like.
It’s not the first time Coca-Cola and Riot Games have joined forces. In fact, the soda company has been an esports sponsor since 2014. Most recently, Coca-Cola cans around the world featured Wild Rift designs as a part of Coca-Cola’s 2022 Wild Rift Global Championship sponsorship.
More and more advertising for gamers
In recent years, there has been an increasing number of ads tailored to gamers, and some ads are also entertaining. The marketing strategies are also becoming more and more creative and sometimes a bit too cheeky.
As such, cooperations between fast food chains and game titles continue emerging. For example, KFC is currently running a promotion for Diablo 4 in Japan and even if it is absolutely not healthy, such promotions are just too tempting for some gamers! The US fried chicken chain is giving out beta codes to anyone who orders a double-down sandwich meal from KFC. Young gamers in particular are quickly influenced by this advertising. Furthermore, there was a campaign by McDonalds’ in Australia for the release of Overwatch 2 last autumn, and KFC also had a promo for the release of Diablo Immortal earlier this year.
Looks like the McDonalds x Overwatch 2 collaboration is almost here 🍟

Whether energy drink or cola, after all, both are unhealthy. But some LoL fans will
probably ask themselves how a League of Legends cola tastes and will buy it for
that reason alone.
