Coach of Japanese VCT Game Changers team Fennel Female accused of sexual misconduct

The Fennel Female team has announced its new coaches for the VCT Game Changers. However, shortly after the announcement, one of the coaches is accused of sexual misconduct with a 16-year-old girl.

The VCT Game Changers was developed by Riot to provide a competitive platform for women and other genders; who are underrepresented in the esports world. Unfortunately, however, men are notorious for causing problems on that platform.

One example of these problems was when a male player pretended to be non-binary to participate in an NA Game Changers competition. Another more recent example is the sudden removal of Rising Hope from their Game Changers squad; this follows allegations that the team’s owner had exposed himself sexually in front of female players on the competition floor.

Currently, we have another headline where possibly another man has disrupted and ruined the esports platform, where all women and other unrepresented genders should feel safe.

Announcement of new Fennel team members

On the 17th of March this year, the Japanese team Fennel Female announced the recent hiring of coaches. Hanpipe and Rader will be the new coaches of the female team.

However, shortly after the announcement, Hanpipe is accused of sexual misconduct.

This information has been made public by reporter Gareso Takizawa, who claims that Coach Hanpipe had recently had sexual relations with a 16-year-old female student at the school.

He adds further details, saying that the incident occurred at the home of the girl’s parents, and Hanpipe is trying to cover it up by silencing the student.

However, it is only an accusation, as no evidence has been offered. But this person claims that he has evidence to back up his accusation and that he can bring it to the public light so that justice can be done.

Response to Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Just hours after Takizawa’s accusation of sexual misconduct by Hanpipe, the Fennel team has responded.

The Fennel organization states that they are conducting an internal investigation to verify the facts regarding the allegations made by that individual.

Fennel also comments that they hope to provide the community with new information to clarify what happened.

However, Hanpipe has not responded to this accusation; on his Twitter account, the most recent thing he has posted is about his hiring by the Fennel women’s team.
