The North Macedonian organization that became very popular in recent months, BLUEJAYS, announced the departure of its entire CS:GO lineup unexpectedly on February 24, 2023.

After having many outstanding results throughout the 2022 season and even reaching the #30 spot in the world ranking according to HLTV, the organization underwent different lineup changes. Now, they have decided to say goodbye for a while.

Even the drop in quality at the beginning of 2023 was the deciding factor for the five players to go different ways in this new season.

BLUEJAYS parting ways with its five CS:GO players

Last February 24, the Macedonian organization BLUEJAYS reported via their official Twitter account that they had released their five CS:GO players.

The organization said:

“Today, we bid farewell to our beloved CSGO team. We want to express our sincerest gratitude for all the hard work, dedication, and passion they have poured into representing our organization over the years. We wish them all the best in their future!”

After this, many fans began to wonder if this was the end of the BLUEJAYS’ time in CS:GO, to which the organization itself came out with an almost immediate response saying:

“And yes, we will stay in the CSGO environment.”

2022 was an amazing year for BLUEJAYS

While this lineup did not participate in many top-tier events in the competitive CS:GO scene in 2022, the team managed to lift several championship trophies in different tournaments, such as:

  • XP Game Fest 2022
  • Doritos Balkan League Season 1
  • European Championship 2022
  • ESEA Season 41: Advanced Division – Europe

However, the most important trophy they won during the season was undoubtedly the IESF World Esports Championship 2022, where in addition to beating IHC 3-1 in the Grand Final, they managed to take home a prize of $50,000.

Not the dream start to 2023 for the organization

At the beginning of the year, BLUEJAYS could not recover from the loss of IGL Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski, who was continuing his career at Apeks, nor from the departure of Pavle “stYleEeZ” Stojanovski, who now wears the Budapest Five jersey.

On the other hand, BLUEJAYS was eliminated in the first round of the ESL Challenger League S44 Lower Bracket and the round of 16 of the CCT West Europe Series 1, both times by Team Falcons.

From the disbanded BLUEJAYS squad, Aleksandar “CacaNito” Kjulukoski will represent Team ATK as a substitute in Group D of ESL Pro League S17.

The players who are now in free agency are:

  • Jane “aidKiT” Apostoloski
  • Aleksandar “CacaNito” Kjulukoski
  • Daniel “dan1” Gligorov
  • Anel “NENO” Ceković
  • Zoran “xicoz” Markovski
  • Antonio “Cr0n0s” Soriano (Coach)
