The BLAST.tv Paris Major European Closed Qualifiers have concluded and 16 European teams have been locked in for the European RMR.

The 16 qualified squads will join 16 other invited teams at the RMR in Copenhagen, which will play out from April 6-14. Out of the 32 competing teams, seventeen will qualify for the different stages of the Paris Major.

European Closed Qualifiers A results

Notably, G2, Astralis, 9INE, and Eternal Fire all advanced to the European RMR. Both 9INE and G2 Esports won three consecutive games to finish with a 3-0 record, while Astralis, 1WIN, and Eternal Fire only conceded one defeat and finished with a 3-1 record.

G2 appeared in excellent shape, continuing their winning way from the IEM Katowice. The squad didn’t lose a game throughout the entire competition, destroying Tricked Esport, Team LDLC, and Turów Zgorzelec on the way to the RMR. Viperio, B8, and Into the Breah filled the final three spots after winning their respective 2-2 matches in their respective closed qualifiers.

After losing the first map of the best-of-three series against HAVU, Into the Breach made a brilliant comeback to secure a 2-1 victory. Viperio, on the other hand, pulled off an impressive two-map upset against SAW in the deciding match to secure their spots in the EU RMR.

European Closed Qualifiers B results

Apeks confirmed their status as the dominant force of the region as they went undefeated in the closed qualifiers with victories over iNation, Team Falcons, and 500 to lock in the first of two European RMR spots on offer. With securing convincing victories over Anonymo, Illuminar Gaming, and HEET, GamerLegion also punched their ticket into the RMR with an undefeated 3-0 record.

OG, Team Falcon, and Monte were next to secure their spot as they put on a brilliant showing to finish with a 3-1 record. Aurora and forZe recorded hard-fought 2-1 victories over HEET and 500 en route to their qualification, while Russian team iNation pulled off a handy 2-0 victory over JANO to punch their ticket in the RMR.

The six sides with 2-3 records in the closed qualifiers—three from Qualifier A and other three from Qualifier B— squared it off in the last chance qualifier on Sunday, where 500 and SAW final two berths to the RMR will be up for the taking.
