BLAST R6 2023 Stage 1 is underway, and with very few matches played so far, we can only expect some truly spectacular tournaments.
The nine regions will kick off gradually, but the goal for all teams is the same, to qualify for the next Major Copenhagen to be played in May 2023.
Map Pool for the nine regions in this Stage 1
Ubisoft presents the nine maps that will be played in this Stage 1 of the BLAST R6 2023:
- BANK
- BORDER

Europe League format and teams
The ten teams in the Europe League are divided into two groups of five, which are:
Group A
- Heroic
- G2 Esports
- pro
- TT9 Esports
- Team BDS
Group B
- WYLDE Esports
- MNM Gaming
- KOI
- Wolves Esports

The format used in the Europe League will be a Round Robin format with best-of-one (BO1) matches. Points are awarded for wins and losses: wins score 3 points, overtime wins score 2 points, overtime losses score 1 point, and losses will go without points.
The top three teams in each group advance to the Deciders, while the last two will play in the Open Qualifiers Playoffs.
In the Deciders phase, teams play in a best-of-three (BO3) GLS format, where the top two teams qualify for Phase 2 of the Major, the third place team to Phase 1 of the Major, and the last two will play the Last Chance Qualifier.
This league is already underway, and so far, Heroic from Group A and WYLDE and MNM Gaming from Group B have started with victories in their first matches played.
North America League format and teams
The eight teams of the North America League will play in the same group, and these are:
- Beastcoast
- DarkZero Esports
- M80
- Mirage
- Oxygen Esports
- Parabellum Esports
- Soniqs

As in the Europe League, the format used in North America will be a Round Robin with best-of-1 (BO1) matches. But, as only one group in this league exists, the top six teams will advance to the Deciders. While the last two will play in the Open Qualifiers Playoffs.
The Deciders will play the same way as the Europe League, i.e., we will have three qualifiers for the Major Copenhagen.
Format and teams of the Brazil League
In the Brazil League, the ten teams are divided into two groups of five:
Group A
- W7M Esports
- LFO Brazil
- Black Dragons
- TropiCaos
- MIBR
Group B
- Team Liquid
- FaZe Clan
- Magic Squad
- LOS + oNe

The Group Stage is played in Round Robin format with best of 1 (BO1) matches. The team that finishes in first place in each group advances to the semifinals of the Deciders. On the other hand, the second and third-place teams will play in the Quarterfinals, while the last two teams will play in the Open Qualifiers Playoffs.
The Deciders will be played the same way as in Europe and North America, with three teams qualifying directly to the Major and the last two playing in the Last Chance Qualifier.
The Brazil League has also kicked off, and we have w7m Esports in Group A, and Team Liquid and FaZe Clan in Group B have scored three points thanks to their first tournament win.
The rest of the leagues worldwide have similar formats and schedules to those described above and will give their respective teams the quota for the next Major in May.
The BLAST Major Copenhagen 2023 will have 24 teams from all regions of the world and a prize pool of $750,000.
As the days go by, we will keep you informed about the development of each R6 league worldwide. So we invite you to stay tuned to our updates.
