The well-known German organization BIG has qualified for YaLLa Compass, a LAN tournament that will take place in the United Arab Emirates from 5 to 9 June 2024. The team’s success is largely thanks to their player Krimbo, who recently extended his contract with BIG.

The team secured their place in the tournament after beating 9INE in the final match of the YaLLa Compass qualifiers. The team won the game on Overpass with a close 13-11 and on Vertigo a much clearer 13-7, with Karim “Krimbo” Moussa playing a crucial role in securing the win for BIG. Krimbo had a KDD of +31 and an ADR of 103 in the series, resulting in a rating of 1.85.

Krimbo helps BIG to YaLLa qualification

Krimbo is an up-and-coming German Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player of Egyptian descent. He recently extended his contract with the German organization, although other esports organizations were also interested in him. He turned down the many offers and decided to stay with BIG for the next few years.

Moussa is known for his ability to aim quickly and accurately, making him a highly sought-after player.His talent and passion for esports have helped him to quickly gain a foothold in the scene and make a name for himself. In 2022, he was finally signed by Germany’s largest esports organization, where he will remain for the time being.

Krimbo was the deciding factor in BIG’s victory at the YaLLa Compass qualifier.

What is the YaLLa Compass?

The YaLLa Compass 2024 is an offline Counter-Strike tournament organized by YaLLa Esports. The tournament will take place from June 5-9, 2024 and will feature 12 teams competing for a prize pool of 400,000 USD.The exact format includes a group stage with round-robin Bo1 and playoffs with single-elimination Bo3. The participating teams are not yet fully known, but BIG is one of the teams that will participate.

BIG started its qualifying run in the quarterfinals, along with three other invited teams: Aurora, BetBoom and 9INE. All four teams made it through the group stage and progressed to the semi-finals. 9INE and BIG won their respective semi-final matches against BetBoom and Aurora to set up the final. BIG ultimately won 2-0 to qualify for next year’s YaLLa Compass.

The YaLLa Compass is a $400,000 tournament and BIG will be competing for the top prize.
Another qualifying tournament for the event will take place in spring 2024, with one place up for grabs. Ten teams will be invited to take part in the tournament.
