Seoul Dynasty’s Park “Profit” Joon-yeong has become the first player to register 10,000 eliminations in the Overwatch League, adding to his growing reputation as one of the best DPS players in history. The record-breaking moment came during his team’s winners bracket final encounter against the Shanghai Dragons, which Dynasty actually ended up losing 3-2.

Profit was playing Pharah at the time, with the 20-year-old having been part of the Overwatch League since its inaugural campaign back in 2018. The Korean star previously led London Spitfire to success in the first season, having claimed the MVP award in the Finals, following his standout performance as Hanzo during the Grand Final. The fact that he has now become the first to reach 10,000 eliminations in the league is the latest in a long line of record broken by Profit.

Why Profit is Held in Such High Regard

Profit has long been known for his flexibility, performing at a high level regardless of which DPS hero he uses, meaning that he has been successful with almost every team he has represented in Overwatch. During the recent Playoffs, Profit once again showed his immense skill when playing on Repaer, Genji, Pharah and Ashe, helping Dynasty to wins over Hangzhou Spark and Guangzhou Charge, before they ultimately came unstuck against the No.1 seed Dragons.

What Next for Profit and Seoul Dynasty?

Seoul defeated New York Excelsior 3-0 over the weekend in order to progress to the Grand Finals bracket, with Profit having already written his name into the record books, meaning that it came as a surprise when he was not named as MVP this time around. They will now look forward to an encounter with the San Francisco Shock, which is set to take place in October. Profit’s Seoul were seeded 5th for the event, meaning that they did well to overcome the No.3 seed Excelsior.

Profit won the Road to APEX, Overwatch APEX Season 4, APAC Premier 2017 and OWL – Inaurugal Season 1 Title Matches during his time with GC Busan, before helping London Spitfire in winning the Overwatch League – Inaugural Season Playoffs. He is yet to win a major with Seoul Dynasty, however his partnership with Tank Jaehui “Gesture” Hong is almost certain to bring about its rewards in the near future.
