The BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2023 is in full swing, and after several days of intense and exciting online matches, we have BIG become the first finalists of the tournament.

BIG achieves this feat after defeating the #2 team in the Counter-Strike World Ranking, ENCE, with an excellent score of 2-0. Moreover, this becomes an excellent result for this team that, without a doubt, seems to have been reborn at this moment of the season.

On the other hand, it is very surprising that ENCE should fall this way in such an important match. Remember that this international squad is one of the most consistent in the current CS competitive scene. However, this is just a sign that many teams are playing at a very high level, thinking, of course, at the beginning of the CS2 competitive era.

We expected a great game, and so we had it despite the 2-0 victory of BIG against ENCE. So, let’s see what happened in this series on October 6, 2023, without further ado.

BIG crush ENCE 2-0

The German squad, BIG, scored an extraordinary 2-0 victory over ENCE to secure their ticket to the tournament’s Grand Final. As a result, BIG is just one win away from qualifying for the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2023. On the other hand, ENCE says goodbye to this tournament prematurely, and now they only have to prepare in CS2 for the IEM Sydney 2023, which will be played from October 16.

The series between BIG and ENCE took place in Ancient and Anubis.

Ancient

It all started at Ancient, BIG’s map pick, where the German team set the tone of the series from the beginning.

In the first half, with BIG on their T Side, the German squad, with Johannes ‘tabseN’ Wodarz and Elias “s1n” Stein as main scorers, managed to take an excellent partial victory by 10-5.

Then, when the sides changed, the teams began to split the rounds, which completely favored BIG. Finally, after 10 rounds (6-4), BIG sealed their 16-9 victory to start the series on the right foot.

Anubis

Finally, the teams moved to Anubis, ENCE’s map pick, where we had a match that was certainly very similar to the first one.

In the first half, BIG started strong again on their T Side to take a 9-6 partial victory. S1n and David “prosus” Hesse were phenomenal in this first half, with 108.2 and 94.6 ADR, respectively.

Then, at the change of sides, ENCE tried to recover by winning up to 4 rounds, but this was not enough to prevent BIG from winning the remaining 7 rounds to take the victory by 16-10.

As a result, BIG is the first finalist of the BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2023, and they are waiting for the winner between Cloud9 and G2 Esports to play the Grand Final.
