In the last few hours, two popular organizations in the CS:GO competitive scene on the European continent, MOUZ, and BIG, announced their respective lineups for IEM Cologne 2023.

These two organizations decided to drastically revamp their CS:GO lineup after a very difficult start to 2023. On the part of the Germans, BIG hope that the second half of the year will improve and they can compete at the highest possible level. On the other hand, we have that MOUZ has in mind to return to be that great team that captivated the scene several years ago.

MOUZ announce CS:GO lineup

Popular European organization MOUZ (formerly known as mousesports) announced its CS:GO lineup ahead of the start of IEM Cologne at the end of July. However, the organization surprised fans by promoting 16-year-old Finnish talent Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo from MOUZ NXT, the organization’s Academy team.

Jimpphat has been a part of the MOUZ Academy team since the 2022 season, so he has over a year in the organization. During this time, the 16-year-old talent had very good performances in the tournaments he played in and helped his team to take third place in the European Pro League S6. In addition, MOUZ NXT also finished in fourth place in the WePlay Academy League S6.

However, thanks to Jimpphat’s impressive individual performance, the organization decides to promote him to the main lineup.

MOUZ is one of the organizations that has unconditional support with their Academy team, as they are used to give opportunities to players in the main team. Some of the team’s players, even the Head Coach, were part of the Academy team.

The MOUZ lineup is as follows:

  • David “frozen” Čerňanský
  • Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás
  • Dorian “xertioN” Berman
  • Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek
  • Jimpphat

As We can see, BIG makes a great bet between experience and great firepower, so the German squad should be a force to be taken very seriously in each of the tournaments they participate in.

Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz will be in charge of the team’s IGL duties in a very important tournament and, above all, helping to control the nerves of some of his inexperienced teammates. Recall that after the departure of Nils “k1to” Gruhne and Josef “faveN” Baumann, BIG had to sign David “prosus” Hesse, Elias “s1n” Stein, and Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski into the starting lineup. As a result, these less experienced players join Karim “Krimbo” Moussa and tabseN to try to give this great team a rebirth.

BIG’s lineup for IEM Cologne 2023 is as follows:

  • tabseN
  • Krimbo
  • prosus
  • s1n
  • mantuu
