After the release of Overwatch 2 season 2 last December 6, 2022, fans have shown a lot of excitement as it brought new skins, a new mythic look, and much more.

Overwatch 2 will say goodbye to the Winter Wonderland 2022 event as early as tomorrow. While it won’t be the only one this month, in terms of big celebrations, it has been the return of one of the IP’s twilight periods for this sequel.

In addition, a new event called Battle for Olympus is revealed in the last hours, which will start in the next few days.

Battle for Olympus

As we see in the trailer published by Overwatch’s official Twitter account, this event is themed around Greek mythology. Players will have to discover that some of their favorite heroes have powers coming from the gods in this new game mode for a limited time.

As the release says, this event will start tomorrow, January 5, and run until January 19, 2023.

There is still not much information about the event. But we can get an idea by watching the trailer a few hours before it starts.

The update can be pre-downloaded for the start of the event tomorrow. It weighs 2.8 GB and modifies the game version to 2.2.1.0.108097.

This mode will be available only for a limited time, so we recommend you play it from the very first day. This way, you will be able to get different rewards and, in addition, buy some packs in the in-game store that fit perfectly with the theme of this event.

If this event is like the previous ones, we will also likely get some rewards by completing different challenges. But it is not confirmed right now.

New skins available

All available characters are the seven with Greek mythological-themed skins. However, unlike the rest of the game modes, they will unleash the power of Olympus with unique abilities. Such as throwing stones with Roadhog’s Ultimate.

During the event, we will enjoy new hero skins, all with the theme mentioned above: Reinhardt, Widowmaker, Roadhog, Lucio, Junker Queen, Pharah, and the new hero, Ramattra.

You will also be able to get the mythical skin Zeus Junker Queen and the legendary Poseidon Ramattra and Hades Pharah, only if you have the Battle Pass active.

On the other hand, the packs you will be able to find in the store will be:

  • Minotaur Reinhardt
  • Medusa Widowmaker
  • Cyclops Roadhog
  • Hermes Lucius

Which have different prices, ranging from 1,900 to 2,200.

Moving on to fantasies and rumors. There is speculation that we can get the Winged Victory of Mercy skin for free.
