A few days after NaVi decided to bench Andrij “npl” Kukharsjkyj and subsequently announced their starting lineup for the second half of the season, the organization announced that they are loaning npl to B8 esports.

Truly, this was one of the most anticipated moves in this transfer market in the summer player hiatus. Besides showing a very low level playing in NaVi’s starting lineup, npl could not make good chemistry with his teammates. Moreover, he was also not up to the level of top-level competitions and the demands of what it means to wear the jersey of this great Ukrainian organization.

However, npl’s fate was unknown until a few hours ago, when he was announced as a loan signing for B8 esports.

B8 esports announce the signing of npl

Through an official statement on Twitter, B8 esports announced that npl joins their CS:GO starting lineup on loan from NaVi. Furthermore, the organization emphasizes that it will be a “long relationship” and they have a “priority buyout right.”

As we mentioned, NaVi decided to bench npl last June 30, 2023, so the organization could sign its new pieces. However, the 17-year-old Ukrainian promise only lasted a little more than a week on NaVi’s bench, as he got a new home and will now wear the colors of B8 esports.

About npl

Npl came to the Ukrainian organization, NaVi, in 2021 to play for the Academy team, NaVi Junior. The organization wanted to promote its lower divisions with purely local talent. Then, when the organization decided to release Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev at the end of December 2022, npl moved up to NaVi’s main team to play in the 2023 season.

Throughout the season, npl was an undisputed starter in NaVi’s lineup, but the team did not get the expected results. Moreover, NaVi failed to qualify for the Champions Stage for the first time in the Paris Major after losing 1-2 to FaZe Clan.

Now, npl has a new opportunity to show what he is made of in B8 esports, where he arrives to replace Altair “kAlash” Askarov. Now, the player will keep his communication in Russian and will be under the orders of Mykhajlo “OWNER” Lymar. However, this may help the 17-year-old Ukrainian exploit his full potential, as all his former NaVi teammates know he is a great player.

On the other hand, it is worth noting that B8 esports came very close to qualifying for the Paris Major. However, they fell in the RMR final to Cloud9 and missed the last Major in the CS:GO era. Now, with the addition of npl, B8 esports hopes to be a major force in the Tier 2 Counter-Strike competitive scene.
