After being on the sidelines for six months with G2, the French CS:GO rifler François “AMANEK” has rejoined LDLC’s CS: GO roster.

AMANEK joined G2’s CS:GO roster in 2019, when the organization was bolstering an all-French lineup including star CS:GO players like Richard “shox” Papillon and Lucas “Lucky” Chastang. Although the versatile rifler has accomplished a number of significant milestones during his time with G2, the second-place finish in the PGL Stockholm Major 2021 stands out as his most remarkable achievement.

He would have won three major championships with G2 if it weren’t for NAVI, who destroyed them in the Grand Finals of the PGL Stockholm Major in 2021, IEM Cologne in July 2021, and IEM Katowice in March 2020.

Following his benching in January, AMANEK only participated in the ESL Pro League’s 15th season in March as G2’s last-minute replacement, while remaining inactive in other CS:GO events. In addition, after Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam announced a positive COVID-19 test, he made an interesting cameo at IEM Katowice as the team’s head coach.

It’s expected that AMANEK will take some sort of leadership role within LDLC since he is the most experienced player on the young french roster. The veteran rifler’s return will provide the club additional firepower and his presence could significantly boost its performance, despite the young LDLC roster lacking any meaningful experience.

Team LDLC CS:GO roster

  • François “AMANEK” Delauna
  • Filip “Graviti” Brankovic
  • Remi “Diviiii” Alexandre
  • Ryan “Neityu” Aubry
  • Hugo “Brooxsy” Di Bono
  • Eythan “unshaark” Solomon
  • Lambert “Lambert” Prigent (coach)
  • Florian “ElectuS” Delearde (Substitute)

G2 Esports to undergo major roster adjustments

Following a disappointing early exit from IEM Cologne 2022, the European organization benched Finnish in-game leader, Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen. He was acquired from OG in January 2022 to take Nemanja “nexa” Isakovi’s place. The team had a great start, kicking off the professional CS: GO season with runners-up run at IEM Katowice in February. Since then, though, the team has lost its cool and has bombed out in the opening rounds of significant competitions like the PGL Antwerp Major and the 15th season of the ESL Pro League. As the last nail in the coffin, the international powerhouse were recently eliminated from IEM Katowice early on following a humiliating 1-2 loss to Ninjas in Pyjamas.

G2 Esports CS:GO roster

  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač
  • Audric “JACKZ” Jug
  • Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov
  • Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen ( IGL)
  • Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam ( Coach)

Since there aren’t many skilled and seasoned players available in free agency right now, especially in-game leaders, it’s possible that G2 would have to dig deeper and raise its budget to complete the roster.
