The Darkhorde Cave can be found southwest of Melve. Past the Malachite Forest. To reach this treacherous cavern, you’ll need to make your way through the Malachite Forest which can be found in Melve, following a path that resembles a humungous racehorse track. As you approach the cave’s entrance, marked by a Campfire marker and a Rift Stone, be wary – the entrance can be easily missed due to the shape of the surrounding rocks.

Once inside the cave, prepare to attack; the Saurians won’t wait to strike. These monstrous creatures hold spears with skill and can dish out some serious lightning damage – so make sure you have a rested and prepared party on your side.

Patience and Persistence

Unfortunately, Boltscales are not guaranteed drops from the Saurians, meaning you may have to return to the cave multiple times to acquire the desired quantity. After clearing the cave of these fearsome foes, it’s recommended to return to a nearby city, rest at an Inn for a few days, and then venture back once the Saurians have respawned.
