The Evil Geniuses’ jungler Kacper “Inspired” Słomahas won the MVP award for the 2022 LCS Summer Split, making him the first player in League of Legends history to win MVP awards in both the LEC and LCS.

Inspired, the star jungler for Evil Geniuses has been crowned the LCS Summer Split 2022 MVP. Inspired has been the most significant player for EG through the split, despite not actually leading in many categories in terms of numbers. His ability to consistently take the lead early on allowed him to disrupt the opponent’s momentum, which helped his team to maintain its grip on the game. Due to Inspired’s unmatched dominance, Ssumday once again fell just short of the MVP title, for the second consecutive split.

In addition, Inspired was chosen by a near-unanimous majority for First-Team All-Pro this summer, receiving 42 out of 43 first-place votes. Kacper “Inspired” Słoma, The first All-Pro team also included EG’s Joseph “Jojopyun” Pyun, ADC Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki, support Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme, while the Korean toplaner Jeong “Impact” Eon-yeong was elected for the second All-Pro team of the split. Their incredible performance not only won over the voters but also catapulted EG into the playoffs and secured them a ticket to Worlds.

This split’s First Team All-Pro is as follows:

  • Top: Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho
  • Jungle: Kacper “Inspired” Słoma
  • Joseph: “Jojopyun” Pyun
  • ADC: Kyle “Danny” Sakamaki
  • Support: Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme
  • Toplaner: Jeong “Impact” Eon-yeong

Inspired sets sights on Worlds for the third consecutive year

Through his phenomenal performance in the 2020 LEC Summer Split, Inspired led team Rogue to World Championship 2020. However, facing the top international teams at Worlds, the inexperienced Rogue roster fell apart. During the group stage, the team only managed to win one game and got eliminated with a dismal 1-5 record. Despite this setback, he still managed to remain in great form and win LEC MVP during the 2021 Summer Split. He led Rogue to the group stage of the 2021 World Championship before he was transferred over to EG and the LCS.

However, the 20-year-old League of Legends prodigy has his sights set once more on the world championship for the third time after a year of play. Even though Impact and EG have already secured their spot at Worlds, they still have a chance to enter the competition as the top seed from North America. They will represent NA at Worlds as the top team if they successfully defend their LCS championship during the LCS grand finals weekend. EG is currently playing 100 Thieves in the lower bracket final and at the time of writing the score is tied at 1-1.
