On May 3rd, Blizzard Entertainment, the creator of the Warcraft franchise revealed the new title in the series — Warcraft Arclight Rumble. The new game is a free-to-play action strategy for Android and iOS devices.

As a part of the gameplay, players will control collectable Warcraft Miniatures and send them to the battlefield. The collection of over 60 “Minis” from the Warcraft universe includes famous characters such as Jaina Proudmoore, Grommash Hellscream, and others.

Numerous missions, game modes and regular challenges

Players will be able to level up their Minis through various missions, unlock unique abilities and use them in the battle. The game will feature five factions called “Families”, namely Alliance, Horde, Beast, Undead, and Blackrock.

Warcraft Arclight Rumble will comprise multiple game modes, including a single-player campaign, co-op and PvP modes, dungeons and raids. Moreover, Blizzard also announced weekly and monthly challenges for Arclight Rumble players. The date of release is yet to be announced, however, the developer revealed that the beta test will start soon.

Warcraft fans express disappointment

Many fans of the popular series have expressed disappointment with Arclight Rumble on the internet, as the game generally resembles existing mobile titles such as Clash Royale and Clash of Clans. While fans will have to wait to see the quality of the game and how it fits into the franchise, it seems that Blizzard aims to build a presence in the mobile market and attract a new audience rather than delight existing fans.
