Call of Duty players, it’s time to grind. The second season is now live in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone. Season 2 is all about chemical warfare and armored war machines.
Both games are getting a whole bunch of Armored War Machine-themed content today, as well as a series of quality updates to fix bugs, glitches, and issues that have plagued the titles in recent weeks and months. With the integration of Warzone, there will be new weapons and operators as well as a new Battle Pass.

New Points of Interest
Caldera will also get new Points of Interest with the new season. For example Chemical Weapons Research Labs and the Chemical Factory matching the poison gas theme. In total there will be seven Chemical Weapons Research Labs and a Chemical Factory that more or less will be the main attraction. There will be armed NPCs, which might be the most noticeable change in the new locations in Season 2. Similar to Fortnite those locations are guarded by strong NPCs but offer valuable loot.

Bomber planes
There will also be a new aerial threat this season. The new war planes are able to finish off vehicles and players from the air. These planes might be pretty strong, but they can still be destroyed by anti-aircraft guns and normal fighter planes.
Vanguard
Zombies
In Vanguard Season 2 players are finally getting the Zombie Main Story quest, which includes fighting Kortifex and Von List, as well as brand new locations for zombie hunting. Next to the new map “The Beginning,” Season 2 adds “Terra Maledicta,” a new starting point in the Eastern Desert of Egypt. From there, players are able to port to places like Dark Aether.

Multiplayer
Even though Season 2 started on Valentine’s Day, the Vanguard update gives off a Christmas vibe. That’s due to the fact that players can expect stuff like double XP bonuses and more. Season 2 of Vanguard introduces players to two new maps, Gondola and Casablanca.
Activision additionally announced a new game mode that will be played on a large map called “ Arms Race”. “Arms Race will use armored motorcycles, troop vehicles and other war machines to destroy enemy bases. Not much information about this mode is known at the moment but Sledgehammer Games said that the announcement will take place later this year.
