While it is true that the most common thing in the competitive esports scene is for the organization to make changes in their players or coaches, those who occupy administrative positions are not entirely spared. In this opportunity, we have 100 Thieves and Daniel “ddk” Kapadia, former Esports coach and VALORANT GM of the organization, parting ways.

This tells us that 100 Thieves is considering overhauling its VALORANT lineup for VCT 2024. In the coming weeks, we could have a complete change from the team that played the 2023 VCT season.

This news comes just two weeks after the team lost to Sentinels at the VCT 2023 LCQ Americas last July 16. As a result of this loss, 100 Thieves ended their season, as they did not earn their coveted berth to the VCT Champions 2023.

100 Thieves announce that they are parting ways with ddk

Through an official post on its Twitter account, 100 Thieves announced that ddk is leaving the organization immediately. In addition, the organization thanks Daniel for everything he contributed, both as GM and in 100 Thieves’ VALORANT program.

For those who don’t know, ddk came to 100 Thieves at the beginning of the 2022 season, specifically in March. From that point on, ddk’s role at 100 Thieves was of utmost importance, as, with the help of Sean Gares (former 100T Head Coach), they managed to revamp the team’s roster.

From that moment on, 100T tried to prove that they are a high-level team in the VALORANT competitive scene, and their best result was, without a doubt, in the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023, where they advanced to the playoffs of the tournament. In addition, it is also worth noting that 100 Thieves won the Red Bull Home Ground 3 at the end of 2022.

100 Thieves plans a revamped lineup

While it is true that ddk has virtually everything to do with the formation of this 100 Thieves lineup, there is no doubt that his departure from the team makes all the sense in the world if the organization plans to make an absolute revamp in its lineup.

According to rumors, the team plans to drop three of its players, as it is no secret to anyone that the 2023 VCT season for 100T was a complete disaster.

100T has not announced any changes for the 2024 VCT season. However, several rumors came out in the last few hours that placed the current coach, Michael “Mikes” Hockom, out of the team. However, we will have to wait for the end of the VCT Champions 2023 at the end of August before we can start to see movements in the team lineups.
