After the controversial departure of Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin from the HellRaisers starting lineup after qualifying for the Dota 2 Lima Major, the organization was on the search for his replacement and has already found one.

A few hours ago, HellRaisers officially announced that Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev, the OG carry, joins the team as an alternate for the upcoming Dota 2 Lima Major 2023.

HellRaisers announces Yuragi as an alternate

After Daxak departs from the lineup and the possibility that the team could be penalized in DPC Points for lineup changes, HellRaisers takes advantage of OG’s elimination to take one of their players as an alternate.

According to the DPC rulebook:

“A team that releases a player after securing a slot in a Major will incur a 20% penalty on DPC Points earned during that event, in addition to the normal player elimination penalty. On the other hand, any team competing in a Major tournament with an alternate will incur a 40% penalty per alternate on DPC points earned in that tournament.”

This is Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev, the current OG carry, who will take the spot left by Daxak in the team.

Recently, HellRaisers tested two players: Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey and Igor “iLTW” Filatov. V-Tune comes from playing with NaVi, while iLTW with Nigma Galaxy. Now, HellRaisers played alternating these players in BetBoom Universe: Episode I – Comics Zone; however, they opted to borrow OG after their elimination against Tundra Esports.

Undoubtedly, this will be an entirely satisfactory relationship for both parties. For OG, it is the ideal opportunity for a talented youngster like Yuragi to continue developing for the rest of the season. While HellRaisers gains an absolute beast at his position.

The controversial departure of Daxak from the team

As mentioned, HellRaisers, with a ticket for the Dota 2 Lima Major, decided to part ways with Daxak. The organization and the player stressed that many internal problems caused this controversial departure. Although the organization offered the player to participate in the Major at one point, he was finally removed from the lineup due to a “lack of motivation.”

About Yuragi

Yuragi, despite being very young in the Dota 2 competitive scene, is well known for his excellent carry skills. The player has managed to lift two Majors in his short career with OG, as they won ESL One Stockholm 2022 and ESL One Malaysia 2022. HellRaisers need a player who meshes with the team and possesses a competitive spirit to make an excellent fit.

While this addition seems excellent on paper, we must wait for the tournament results. Yuragi will have little time to adapt to HellRaisers’ style of play and Team Play. However, a player with his qualities can do so quickly.

With this last-minute signing, HellRaisers’ lineup for the Dota 2 Lima Major 2023 is as follows:

  • Artem “Yuragi” Golubiev
  • Gleb “depressed kid” Ziryanob
  • Matvey “MieRo” Vasyunin
  • VLADISLAV “Antares” KERTMAN
  • Alexey “Solo” Berezin
