zekken shows his best side with Sentinels

After being on a terrible streak for the entire season, Zachary “zekken” Patrone has decided to put the bad moment behind him and show all his skills with Sentinels.

While it is true that the road to the playoffs for Sentinels is complicated, the players still have some hope that it can happen in the last week of the VCT Americas League regular season.

However, the team’s emerging talent, zekken, has been Sentinels’ mainstay in their latest win over KRÜ.

Zekken shows his potential against KRÜ Esports

While Sentinels has a tough road ahead in this final regular season in the VCT Americas League, Zekken showed its full potential in the series against KRÜ Esports. However, the series against KRÜ was the second where the youngster led the team, as in the loss against Evil Geniuses, he was the only team player with more than a 1.00 rating.

But the icing for Zekken was in his series against KRÜ, where he finished with 188 ADR, 283 ACS, and a 1.24 Rating. In addition, the 18-year-old got 49 kills in the two maps he played.

Unfortunately, this is not to say that the season has been exceptional for Zekken. During the regular season, the player has performed standout in the series against NRG, LOUD, and Leviathan. However, he has also had matches to forget, such as, for example, against Cloud9, where he finished with 99 ADR, 0.57 Rating, and -13 +/-.

Sentinels’ performance has been low, collectively speaking

While it’s true that Zekken has failed to show consistency throughout the regular season, we can’t hammer him for the team’s situation in the tournament. Sentinels have had to deal with role, coaching, and player changes. Also, we should consider that Sentinels is the only team that has had to play with different players in the regular season.

On the other hand, it is worth noting that when Tyson “TenZ” Ngo was on the team’s bench, Zekken had to play several games with Jett, whom he usually does not use in his team’s official games. However, Zekken is well known for showing an exceptional level with this agent in the solo queue.

Zekken works on course corrections in the middle of matches

While he is a very young player, there is no doubt that he can get out of control when things don’t go as he would have dreamed. We say this because, according to former Sentinels coach Donald “SyykoNT” Muir, he had to work with Zekken after his underachieving performance at VCT LOCK///IN Sao Paulo 2023.

SyykoNT mentioned that he worked very hard with Zekken so that Zekken could identify when a matching development could be bad for him or the team and then correct course, as that is the way to have a successful “performance.”

Based on what we have observed throughout the VCT Americas League, it appears that Zekken is very mindful of SykkoNT’s lessons even though SykkoNT is no longer with the team. Finally, even though the team has a good chance of not qualifying for the playoffs, the organization should be proud of the level demonstrated by Zekken.
