Timo “Spiidi” Richter and Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich, former Sprout teammates, reunite once again as German organization ALTERNATE aTTaX drafts an explosive squad for the upcoming season.

ALTERNATE aTTaX has finalized its CS: GO lineup ahead of the new season with the additions of Timo “Spiidi” Richter and Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich. The move comes a month after ALTERNATE aTTaX allowed Max “PANIX” Hangebruch and Patrick “pdy” Merken to explore their options heading into the new season. The organization later parted ways with the duo, ending their six-month stay with the squad.

The signing of the group heralds the reunion of Spiidi and slaxz-, the lethal German duo who formerly played together at Sprout from January 2021 until July 2022. The duo spent most of 2022 playing in tier-two competitions with mixed results to show for it.

The team’s notable performance includes a 5th-6th place finish in ESL Challenger League Season 41 and a top four at ESL Challenger Valencia. Additionally, the team briefly entered the top 20 of the world rankings as a result of their success at the European RMR competition in the fall of this year.

Spiidi joins ALTERNATE aTTaX, his ninth German CS:GO organization

Spiidi, who joins the team following a two-month run with cowana Gaming before the organization disbanded, is the first of two German additions the management is hoping will take the team to the next level. Spiidi spent most of his CS:GO career bouncing between popular German organizations like EYES ON U, BOSSHAFT, and PENTA Sports before finding recognition with mousesports in the European scene as a winner of Acer Predator Masters Season 2.

The German rifler was then acquired by Sprout, where he stayed for the next four and a half years, making significant contributions to the team’s victory at numerous regional competitions, both online and at LAN. The team switched to a European roster in 2022, and they momentarily regained their dominance, moving up their World rankings to No. 19, just three positions below the organization’s all-time high.

However, after spending more than four years, he eventually left the team due to their dismal performance, which saw them tie for last place at the ESL Pro League Season 16 Conference. His departure signaled the end of the organization’s 2017 acquisition, the original “Seed” roster.

ALTERNATE aTTaX CS:GO roster:

  • Michalis “awzek” Napoloni
  • Lukas “FreeZe” Hegmann
  • Paul “PerX” von Erdmannsdorff
  • Timo “Spiidi” Richter
  • Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich
  • Sebastian “xenn” Hoch (coach)
