The rise of female esports continues in the scene of Riot Games’ tactical shooter VALORANT. This time, the North American organization XSET has revealed its all-female roster for the upcoming VCT Game Changers 2023.

XSET returns to the VALORANT competitive scene, this time female since they stepped away in October 2022. Now, signing a lineup of experienced players, the organization hopes to fight for the crown in this weekend’s international tournament.

The organization’s women’s VALORANT lineup will play under the name XSET Purple.

XSET unveils its female VALORANT lineup, XSET Purple

Last Monday, April 3, XSET announced its return to the VALORANT competitive scene with a female roster to fight in the VCT Game Chagers 2023 called XSET Purple.

This announcement comes on the eve of VCT Game Changers 2023 in the NA region, which begins next April 7. In addition, the organization had the luxury of signing experienced and, above all, very talented players to this lineup. Undoubtedly, this team will become one of the strongest in the scene, and we are eager to see how the girls will perform on the servers.

The XSET Purple lineup is as follows:

  • Bob “Bob” Tran
  • Katja “katsumi” Pfahnl
  •  bunny bee
  • Melanie “rise” Tetreault
  • Panday

Bob Tran and katsumi have enough experience in the pro scene, as they played under the banner of a well-known team like Cloud9 White. On the other hand, Bunny bee is a former XSET player; rise comes from playing for almost two years for CLG Red. Finally, panday has roamed for several teams, but her most notable introduction was with “Sanri-O’s,” where she helped her team to finish among the TOP 8.

More announcements are expected in the coming hours

Many organizations are tuning up, and we will likely see more lineups in the coming hours. We should consider that the qualifiers for VCT Game Changers 2023 start very soon.

It is worth noting that XSET is no stranger to the VALORANT women’s scene, as they have previously participated in the main VCT Game Changers competitions.

However, until now, they have not had a lineup in which they could have a perfect synergy between veterans and youth to give the expected results. As a result, Bob, rise, and katsumi are shaping up to be the ones to take the baton of the team and guide their teammates along the way. As mentioned, both Bob and katsumi played for C9 White, where they dominated the scene in the 2022 season.

As the last member of the team, we have Dan “Danimal” Booth, who will be the Head Coach of the team and will have to help the experienced girls to lead this team to the main event.

Undoubtedly, the team’s results will likely be very good with such a powerful lineup of players.
