Felix “xQc” Lengyel, a Canadian streamer and former professional Overwatch player, is known for his activities on Kick and Twitch. His online presence regularly attracts attention, whether through his opinions or the controversial way in which he presents himself. Even after his switch from esports to live streaming, he remains a controversial figure in the digital world. Now his YouTube channel has been blocked and the reasons for this are not entirely clear.

The streamer was recently dealt a hard blow. His YouTube channel was shut down due to copyright claims from third parties. This decision by YouTube shows that the platform is becoming increasingly intransigent when it comes to copyright infringements. Certainly not easy for xQc, as his channel was another source of income and the platform on which he shared various content such as streaming clips and many hours of gaming with his fan base.

xQc’s YouTube channel blocked due to copyright issues

Felix “xQc” Lengyel, a well-known Canadian streamer, has made a name for himself primarily through platforms such as Twitch and YouTube. His channel was known for just-chatting streams, video game broadcasts and, above all, his Overwatch sessions. But today, on November 26, 2023, his YouTube channel was shut down due to copyright infringements.

Another streamer from the platform Kick, known as @scrubaryan_, stated via Twitter, now X, that xQc’s channel has been permanently banned by YouTube.

Was the channel blocked because of other people’s YouTube videos?

So far, Felix has not provided any reasons for the blocking of his account and has not officially said anything about it. Fans are therefore in the dark as to why his channel is no longer accessible. Much of his uploaded content on YouTube showed him watching videos made by other people. The problem was that he often showed little reaction and simply played the full video without any additional commentary or analysis.Stealing content is not tolerated by YouTube and strict measures are taken against such practices.Felix was repeatedly criticized by the community for this, but he did not listen to his fans, who only meant well by him.It seems that he may now have to suffer the consequences.Despite the current situation, there is a possibility that Felix could soon return to YouTube and his channel will be unblocked.

It is common knowledge that popular YouTubers are repeatedly granted access to the platform despite violating the guidelines and that the sites like to turn a blind eye when it comes to content creators with several million followers, as in the case of xQc. Nevertheless, fans will no longer be able to see him on YouTube for the time being – but they will still be able to watch him on Kick.
