The new iteration of Call of Duty: Warzone has been released, featuring new weapons and a map called Urzikstan. Although the game has only been available for a week, the community has already expressed some concerns.

Popular Warzone streamer HusKerrs voiced some complaints about the game in the first week of its new iteration. He tagged both Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software to address the pressing issues. Many players seem to agree with his sentiments.

Sound is “miserable” and “worse than any other BR in history”

HusKerrs pointed out that the audio in the game is the worst it has been out of any BR in history, and the TTK (time-to-kill) is way too quick. He also mentioned that Gulag visibility is very poor most of the time, and server lag is back.

Another streamer, IceManIsaac, echoed HusKerrs’ complaints while adding a few of his own. He said the game is “brutal” right now, including the weapon meta that’s dominated by just a handful of guns, and audio problems mainly dealing with enemy footstep audio.

Main Warzone dev Raven Software was quick to address complaints about audio within just a few days of season one launching on Dec. 6, confirming that the lack of footstep sounds is being looked at. The dev said that they are currently investigating this feedback and will share more information at a later date.

It is still early for MW3’s Warzone iteration, and many changes will be made over the coming months. Despite complaints like these, the game seems to be off to a decent start with player sentiment. Many fans likely hope positive changes will take effect sooner rather than later.

Here is a summary of the main concerns expressed by the community:

  • Audio is the worst it has been out of any BR in history
  • TTK is way too quick
  • Gulag visibility is very poor most of the time
  • Server lag is back
  • Weapon meta is dominated by just a handful of guns
  • Audio problems mainly dealing with enemy footstep audio

Raven Software has already confirmed that they are investigating the feedback surrounding audio, specifically footsteps. It remains to be seen how quickly the developers will address the concerns of the community, but many are hopeful for positive changes in the near future.
