According to rumors, Dota 2 patch 7.33 or perhaps even 8.00 is right around the corner. But until it arrives, there are lots of great support heroes that are worth playing in the current meta. This guide presents two of them.

One of them is Jakiro and the other is Disruptor. Each of them has a unique play style and can be used to create a huge advantage for your team during fights.

Jakiro

This two-headed dragon has been around for many years and people still pick him because he’s deceptively strong not only in fights, but for pushing lanes also. Thanks to his Liquid Fire, Jakiro can easily destroy enemy towers and cannot be allowed to push the lane too far.

In fights, he can use Ice Path to stun enemies for 3s–4.5s from a very long range. This AoE, long-duration stun makes Jakiro amazing at crowd control. But ideally, you should have a more reliable stunner and follow up with Ice Path for optimal effects.

With proper synchronization, you can keep a target stuck for around 7 seconds, which is more than enough time to get the kill.

Jakiro’s Macropyre deals a lot of damage and is perfect for pushing and defending the base. It can also be used in team fights, but only if Ice Path caught at least one hero or if another teammate can hold the enemy team in place.

Dual Breath can slow movement speed by 40% for 5 seconds, which is perfect in 1v1 situations. It will also slow attack speed by 40 at level 4.

Disruptor

Disruptor is played as a support from whom you cannot run away. If you have good map vision, he will completely compromise a target’s position and deal massive damage to it. At level 15, Disruptor can deal nearly 1100 damage just with his Q and W. And if you also use Static Storm, very few enemies can survive.

The combination of high damage output and misplacement tools makes Disruptor a very difficult support hero to play against. In the current meta, many professional teams pick him in phase one of the draft and then use him in combination with other heroes that can offer the team superior vision over the enemy.

This combo shouldn’t win games that easily, but it does. One item that makes it even easier for Disruptor to cast his spells is Aether Lens.
