After days, weeks, and months of rumors about the return to the Counter-Strike scene of the popular North American organization, TSM, it is now a reality. The organization announced its return to the competitive CS:GO scene with a lineup of experienced players.

The last rumors surfaced were that the players linked to this return of TSM would have gone their separate ways. However, either party did not confirm this, and now, with this announcement, everything is clearer than ever.

TSM, after more than 6 years, returns to Valve’s shooter with the mission to make a name for itself in the competitive scene of CS2, which is very close to its release.

TSM confirms return to the CS:GO scene

The North American organization TSM announced its new Counter-Strike lineup through an official statement on its Twitter account.

TSM’s last iteration on the Counter-Strike scene was with a purely North American lineup. However, this time, they decided to jump across the pond to sign players with a lot of experience in the scene on the European continent. In addition, all players have played many games at the highest competitive level, so great things are expected from this lineup.

Now, TSM’s new Counter-Strike lineup is as follows:

  • Cai “CYPHER” Wilson
  • Audric “JACKZ” Jug
  • Timofey “interz” Yakushin
  • Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså
  • Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea
  • Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam – Head Coach

As we can see, all the players, except MoDo, have extensive competitive experience at the highest level. However, the 20-year-old Romanian will debut in a top-level organization in this new TSM team.

Rumors are confirmed

The North American organization had announced its plans to return to Counter-Strike at the end of 2022, but things cooled down then. However, after several months with no word, last July 24, TSM’s possible lineup was leaked.

Likewise, some “disagreements” regarding the contracts (according to different reports several weeks ago) made the project falter at the last minute. However, everything indicates that these problems were completely solved since the organization officially announced its return.

Each player’s role in the new TSM lineup is still a mystery, but it is expected that MoDo will be the AWPer of the team and CYPHER will be the Entry Fragger. On the other hand, the role of IGL may be assumed by Valde, as he is no stranger to this role in his last teams.

For now, we don’t know when the official debut of this new TSM lineup will be and if it will be in CS:GO. Recall that the organization does not belong to any of the partnerships with BLAST and ESL, plus they did not qualify for any Tier 1 tournaments. However, with such a large number of Tier 2 tournaments currently being played, this experienced lineup may be invited to one of these tournaments.

Likewise, with the imminent arrival of CS2, we are all looking forward to the performance of all the teams on the scene, TSM included.
