Movements continue in the different esports organizations in this closing year, 2022, and TSM, one of the most popular teams in the world and undoubtedly in North America, has two new faces in its VALORANT team to face the new season 2023.

TSM VALORANT

As in different esports, TSM VALORANT has been one of the most influential organizations within the competitive scene of Riot’s tactical shooter, despite their poor results.

Subroza, the team’s young promise, is its top star and has been part of the Valorant circuit for several years.

After being denied a partnership with Riot, TSM will now have to compete in the VALORANT Ascension League under the direction of Hazed. Hazed, part of TSM’s core players is rejoining alongside NaturE, who comes from Gen.G.

Team Legacy

The North American team TSM was one of the first to take the big step of creating a Valorant lineup. The first roster consisted of Drone, Subroza, ReltuC, Hazed, and Wardell. Subroza and Wardell are one of the world’s most famous Valorant duos.

During the first year of this lineup, they were virtually unbeatable, consistently outplaying all of their opponents and winning most of the invitational tournaments.

This team was one of the favorites to win the Valorant First Strike. On their way to the Grand Final, they defeated Immortals and Envy. Then, they faced a powerful team in the Grand Final, 100T, where they lost with an overall score of 1-3.

In the 2021 season, the team faced its first problem and struggled to find the balance needed to achieve victories. In these difficulties, the team started to make changes. But, unfortunately, ReltuC was the first to step away from the squad.

Then, Drone was sent to the bench, while Aleko and Bang were signed to the main lineup. However, the team did well in the 2021 VCT Stage 3 playoffs but failed to win critical games.

This 2022 has been a difficult one for TSM. Despite winning several C and B Level tournaments, they have had no luck in first-level events. So, it is expected that the 2023 season in the Ascension League will be much better, and they can get the coveted franchise quota for the 2024 VCT.

Future of the team

After Riot announced that TSM would not be part of their franchise or partnership program, all the players on the roster decided to leave for free agency, looking for a new life in teams that were in the top division of the VCT.

The only player still with the team since its inception is Subroza (although he is inactive).

A few hours ago, it became known that Hazed, the former NRG IGL, would join the team for the 2023 season. Hazed helped his former team achieve their best ranking in the VCT NA Challengers.

It has also been reported that NaturE will join Hazed, gmd, Corey, and seven to form the new TSM VALORANT lineup.

Subroza is actively seeking offers and will most likely leave the team searching for a new opportunity.

With this, the TSM roster would look like this:

  • Johann “seven” Hernandez
  • Anthony “gmd” Guimond
  • Corey “corey” Nigra
  • James “Hazed” Cobb – IGL
  • Nicholas “NaturE” Garrison
  • Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik – Inactivo
