Tour 3 of DPC 2023 has begun

We’ve entered the final Tour of DPC 2023 and its results will determine the final DPC rankings. Only 12 teams will receive direct invites to The International 12, which will take place in October, and around half of those invites are already taken by competitors who did well in the first two Tours.

There’s a fierce battle taking place in China, another one in Eastern Europe, and one more in North America. Western European, South American, and Southeast Asian teams already have enough points to stay a bit more relaxed.

China

In China, four teams are fighting for four Major spots, which pretty much means that there won’t be much drama, at least in regard to the Major qualification. But the battle for the top three positions will still be tough.

Right now, there’s not a single Chinese team in the top 12 and the difference between the first and the second place in the regional league is enormous. The winner receives 500 points while the runner-up gets only 300 points. The other three teams get 200, 100, and 50 points respectively.

The strongest teams in China are Team Aster, Xtreme Gaming, PSG.LGD, and Azure Ray.

Eastern Europe

In Eastern Europe, the situation is almost as desperate as it is in China. BetBoom Team, Team Spirit, and 9Pandas are all fighting for the top three positions and should get them. The only question is: who will win and what will happen at the Bali Major?

Western Europe

In Western Europe, Gaimin Gladiators will probably win this time, followed by Team Liquid, Tundra Esports, and possibly OG. But the truth is that almost every single team in this region is strong. Team Secret will need to get a good result if they want to avoid the qualifiers for TI12.

North America

In North America, Shopify Rebellion and TSM are the only strong teams. They will probably have no real opponent and go to the Bali Major without any difficulties. It will be interesting to see which of them is going to win. As usual, the direct match will likely decide the winner.

South America

In SA, Evil Geniuses and beastcoast are once again the favorites. Both teams already have a lot of points and should finish in the top 12 if they can finish Tour 3 in the top two regionally.
